Celeste's POV

I stared at him, not sure what I was supposed to do or say. For a moment I couldn't feel anything, the sadness, the joy, the knowing that I had been left behind once again but nothing happened.

It didn't look like he was done, “I'm sure you wish that was you, carrying the heir to my throne but then it couldn't ever be, not when you're so unlucky"

It felt like he lived every moment to simply torture me. I opened my mouth to tell him that I knew the truth, I knew who had been killing my babies and I had proof of it - I would expose him.

“You think I-" I started.

“Alpha!" A loud shout interrupted me. It came from the other end so I was sure it was a guard calling him for something, I didn't know what.

Ragnar didn't leave immediately, it was as if he wanted to stay so he could torture me more but the call came out again and his hesitance changed.

His brother was smart, it wouldn't take a genius for his brother to know what happened.“You all remember what happened here?" He pointed at the bodies on the ground. He hadn't spared them even a glance after he had done what he wished to. They had played roles and everything else continued in their absence.Everyone nodded, "yes alpha” the answer came in a chorus and he liked that. He had everyone in his palms. He stayed where he was forced to and turned to look at Celeste, “I've managed to keep her hidden for a while but now she's too sick, she needs help" he almost begged.Celeste felt her heart soften.     Author's POV The next day, Wulfrick woke up early. He wanted to find her and finally reveal the truth that he knew. He had seen it in Ragnar's eyes, the truth that he desperately wanted to keep hidden. He would make sure it didn't last long. For so long, he had thought there was a chance to achieve them some other way but it was clear that there wasn't. His brother wouldn't give up no matter what and neither could he.
