The moment she woke, Aria knew nothing would ever be the same. The forest was alive with whispers, wind rustling the leaves like it carried a warning meant only for her. She sat up, heart racing, sensing the energy still thrumming in her veins from last night’s awakening. Her hands tingled as if the power she had discovered yesterday had not fully settled, and something deeper… something foreign… was stirring inside her.

A sharp snap of movement startled her. She turned to see him—him—the Alpha King, standing at the edge of the clearing. His presence alone made the air vibrate, commanding, dangerous, protective. His eyes, sharp and burning, scanned her like a predator reading prey—and something else flickered there, something she didn’t yet understand.

“Aria,” he said, low and measured, voice cutting through the morning mist, “you’ve changed.”

She swallowed hard. I have… But she had no words. The power she had unearthed yesterday had left a residue, a ripple in her senses, and now, inexplicably, she felt… different. Stronger, yes. But also… aware of something deeper, something connected to the King in ways she couldn’t yet name.

“What… is happening to me?” Her voice trembled, half fear, half awe.

He stepped closer, careful, his gaze never leaving hers. “It’s more than power, Aria. It’s bloodline. Something you didn’t know you carried—and I should have seen it long ago.”

Her breath caught. “Bloodline?”

“Yes,” he said, jaw tight. “Not just any bloodline… yours is… special. Rare. Prophetic.”

Her mind spun. Prophecy? Rare bloodline? What did it mean? Before she could ask, the King’s expression softened, almost tender—then hardened again. His hand landed over hers, pressing against the center of her chest.

“You’re carrying it,” he said, voice dropping to a near whisper, almost afraid to say it aloud. “Something I didn’t think was possible.”

Aria froze, the words striking her like lightning. Carrying it? The Alpha King’s gaze locked with hers, impossibly serious, dangerous, protective. “What… do you mean?”

He swallowed. “You’re… pregnant.”

The world stopped spinning, then spun faster than ever. Aria’s knees threatened to buckle. Pregnant? With his child? Her mind raced a thousand directions at once—shock, fear, awe, disbelief. But deeper than all of that was a sense of… destiny. This wasn’t an accident. Something ancient had chosen her, and it was tied to the power that had awakened inside her just days ago.

“You’re… my bloodline,” he said, voice low, filled with intensity, almost reverence. “The child you carry… it’s the next generation of power, of prophecy. I didn’t want this… not yet. But it’s here, and it’s real. And they’ll come for you both.”

Aria’s head spun. Enemies. Power. Prophecy. Pregnancy. Her chest tightened, caught between fear and the dizzying rush of something she hadn’t felt before—purpose. She was no longer just a broken girl fleeing humiliation. She was now the center of a storm, a force to be reckoned with, carrying a power that could change the balance of their world.

The King’s hand tightened over hers, almost painfully. “I’ll protect you,” he said, voice deadly, protective. “They won’t touch you… not while I breathe.”

“I… I don’t know if I can do this,” Aria admitted, voice trembling. “I’m… scared.”

“You will,” he said firmly. “Because you have to. Because you must. And because…” His gaze softened, almost breaking, “…because I will never let anyone harm you. Not you, not the child.”

Her eyes filled with tears, a mix of fear and the strange comfort that his presence always brought. His fingers brushed her cheek, soft, yet commanding, a paradox she had learned to accept. The tension between them had always been high, dangerous, intoxicating—but now, with the truth revealed, it deepened into something almost unbearable.

“Aria,” he murmured, voice low, dangerous, possessive, “your power… your bloodline… your child… you are mine. All of it. And anyone who thinks otherwise… will regret it.”

Outside the clearing, a distant howl shattered the moment. Aria stiffened. Her eyes darted to the shadows—the forest had ears, eyes, predators, enemies. Whoever had been waiting for her awakening… now knew. And they wouldn’t wait.

The Alpha King’s stance shifted, muscles taut, aura radiating deadly precision. He pressed close, voice just above a growl. “They’ll come. They always do. But we’ll be ready. Together.”

Aria felt the surge of power inside her again. She could sense the life growing within her, a pulse of energy synchronized with her own heartbeat, feeding her strength. And suddenly, fear became determination, awe became courage. She was no longer just Aria, the broken girl—they had made her the center of destiny, the vessel of power, the living link in a prophecy that even the King had never fully anticipated.

Then, from deep within the shadows, a new presence emerged—faster, darker, sharper than any she had sensed before. Her instincts screamed danger, her body tightened, and she realized: this wasn’t just a test of her power… it was only the beginning.

The King stepped in front of her, protective, dangerous, his gaze fixed on the approaching threat. “No one touches her,” he growled. “No one touches us.”

Aria’s pulse surged, power radiating through her like wildfire. She looked at him, eyes wide, understanding the truth: she wasn’t weak. She was not alone. And the world had no idea what had just awakened

The forest had never been this quiet. Not truly quiet, not in a way that allowed the mind to breathe. Only the whispers of rain dripping from the leaves and the occasional rustle of branches betrayed life around me. But my senses were too sharp, too tuned to the King’s presence, to trust the peace. Every shadow seemed to shift with intention; every sound pressed against my skin like a warning. And then I remembered.Kael.The memory came unbidden, slicing through me sharper than any blade. His golden eyes on the ceremonial floor, the smirk that had made the entire pack laugh, the sting of rejection that had sent me fleeing into this forest… I was back there. Back in that humiliation, that pain, that anger.I stumbled over a root, cursing under my breath, but my legs refused to carry me far. My chest heaved. My wolf growled low, frustrated, impatient. You are not alone. He is near.I spun, heart hammering. And there he was. The King. Always there. Watching. Waiting. Controlling. His go

Even after the claim, after the tethering that tied my essence to him, I hadn’t fully understood the weight of it. But now… now I was beginning to learn.“Move,” he commanded, voice low, every syllable absolute.I obeyed instantly, my legs trembling as I stepped forward. The forest floor squished beneath my boots, slick with rain and mud, but I barely noticed. Every nerve screamed that I should run. That I should hide. That I should fight. But I couldn’t. Not against him.“You obey first,” he said, glancing at me from the corner of his eyes, and the subtle smirk on his face made my stomach twist. “Then we discuss what you’re allowed. And what you’re not.”I swallowed, heat rising to my cheeks. My wolf growled low, restless, unsettled, angry. Do not trust him. He is not Kael. He is f
