Isabella’s POV

“My chamber. Now.”

Leon’s words echoed in my head as I followed closely.

It hadn’t been a request. Nothing close...

It was an order—one that I wouldn't dare go against.

The guards pushed the doors open and immediately bowed.

I stepped inside.

The doors shut behind me with a heavy thud that vibrated through my bones.

The room was dimly lit by amber lanterns, and smelled faintly of expensive werewolf incense and something sharper… something distinctly Leon.

Leon stood by the window, broad back turned to me, his hands clasped behind him.

The air shifted.

He sensed me.

He always sensed everything.

Slowly, he turned.

His eyes locked on mine—empty of warmth, empty of expression, yet somehow holding something too heavy to name.

A king’s gaze.

A predator’s gaze.

A man studying something he didn’t know how to feel about.

“Come forward.”

His voice was low, even, with that quiet command that didn’t need volume to be powerful.

I walked clo

  • REJECTED LUNA RETURNS FOR WAR!   CHAPTER 49: The Celebration

Evergreen Pack hadn’t seen a celebration this big in months. Not since before the invasion. Not since before the chaos, the bodies, the panic… and not since before Isabella vanished without a trace. Colorful lanterns hung from every branch of the courtyard trees. Music shook the ground. Food filled the long tables. Laughter rolled like thunder through the crowd. And right in the middle of it all stood Clara—Evergreen’s new Luna, wrapped in shimmering gold, smiling like she owned the world. Because she did. At least, for now. CLARA’S POV I raised my wine glass high, letting the light bounce off the diamonds around my wrist. Wolves cheered. Elders nodded proudly. Omegas bowed as I passed, whispering about how beautiful their Luna looked. Good. They needed to forget the dead child, forget the dungeon, forget the guard who was burned to death. A party was the perfect distraction. “Brilliant idea, my Luna,” Elder Rowan praised, his belly round and stuffed from the fea

  • REJECTED LUNA RETURNS FOR WAR!   CHAPTER 46: Sierra’s Downfall Begins

Isabella’s POV The moment Sierra started screaming, I already knew she was going to try something stupid. Her face was bright red, her eyes tearing up, and she clutched her stomach like her insides had suddenly turned into lava. The smell alone told everyone exactly what had happened — the girl was about to explode. The kitchen stopped. The guards stopped. Even the fire in the stove seemed to pause. Then Sierra rounded on me like a demon reborn. “You—” She pointed at me with shaky fingers. “You poisoned me! You disgusting little maid, you put something in my drink!” I blinked slowly. “Why would I poison you with… that?” “That’s the point!” Sierra screamed. “You embarrassed me! You ruined me!” A loud noise came from her stomach. Everyone froze again. One guard whispered, “Moon goddess… that sounded dangerous.” Another maid covered her face to hide her laugh, and the small sound made Sierra snap. “Wipe that smile off your face! I’m the future Luna of Re

  • REJECTED LUNA RETURNS FOR WAR!   CHAPTER 45: The Luna-Wannabe Learns a Lesson

Isabella’s POV I should have known the moment Sierra walked into the hall—hips swaying like she owned the palace—that trouble was coming. She didn’t even hide it. She marched straight toward me where I was arranging the breakfast plates, chin tilted up, confidence radiating off her in nauseating waves. “There you are,” she said loudly, tossing her hair so dramatically a few strands landed on my apron. “I want us to make fresh juice together. Now.” She didn’t ask. She commanded. Like she was already Luna of Redmoon. I stared at her for a few seconds, just long enough to make her frown. “Alright,” I said calmly. “Let’s go.” Her smile grew sharp with victory—too sharp. My wolf whispered inside me. She’s planning something. Keep your eyes open. Believe me, I was. W

  • REJECTED LUNA RETURNS FOR WAR!   CHAPTER 44

Leon’s POV The moment I stepped into my study, I could already feel the shift in the air. Redmoon Palace was always quiet at dawn—guards switching shifts, warriors returning from patrol, the torches burning with a steady glow—but today, the silence felt heavier. Like the world itself was holding its breath. I sat behind my oak desk, fingers tapping lightly on the polished surface as my messenger wolf bowed deeply at the doorway. “My King,” he said, breath shaky. “A letter… urgent. From Evergreen.” Of course it was. I gestured for him to step forward. He placed the sealed letter on my desk and quickly left, shutting the tall doors behind him. I broke the wax seal. Clara’s handwriting—elegant, neat, practiced—sprawled across the page. IT IS DONE. THE PACK BELIEVES THE GUARD IS THE BOY’S KILLER. HE HAS BEEN EXECUTED BY FIRE.

  • REJECTED LUNA RETURNS FOR WAR!   CHAPTER 43

Edmund’s POV The sun rose slowly over Evergreen Pack, but the light felt wrong. Too bright. Too golden. Too peaceful for what was about to happen. The pack courtyard was already crowded. Warriors lined the edges, elders in the front, omegas trembling behind them. Everyone was whispering, buzzing with tension and curiosity. Because today… A man was going to burn. The air tasted like smoke even though the fire had not yet been lit. I—Edmund—stood on the raised platform beside the execution stake, wearing my Alpha coat, the symbol of judgement heavy across my shoulders. Clara stood beside me, dressed in white like a holy queen, her veil blowing lightly in the cold morning breeze. Her hands were folded at her waist, her expression calm… almost touched by sorrow. And yet there was something in her eyes. Something sharp.

  • REJECTED LUNA RETURNS FOR WAR!   CHAPTER 42

Clara’s POV That night… Evergreen Pack was quiet. Too quiet. The kind of quiet that came right after chaos—when people were exhausted from shouting, crying, and beating their chests for justice they didn’t fully understand. Inside the Luna’s chambers, however, the silence felt different. It felt sweet. Soft. Warm. Triumphant. I closed the chamber doors behind me and leaned against them, letting out a slow exhale. Finally. Finally, everything was falling perfectly into place again. I walked across the room, my fingers trailing lightly over the carved wooden dresser, the polished mirror, the beautifully arranged silk pillows on my bed. My bed. I smiled and let myself fall backward onto the soft sheets, sinking into them like I owned the whole palace. Because I did.
