CELESTE POV

It had been a while since I walked around the pack house with Hanna, and I wouldn't lie, I enjoy doing so now.

It wasn't due to the brightness of the sun or the way Hanna took her time to explain some of the things I was confused about; it was mostly because I got to spend the whole day without any interruption.

From Damon. He was out of the pack house and the only one who mostly disrupted things for me, especially when it came to taking a stroll. Also, the guards he had placed to watch over me—I hadn't seen any of them since today. I wanted to believe they had gone to the hunt, too.

He could have easily replaced them. There was a chance he forgot about that, and I was glad I didn't get to have two people breathing down my neck and invading my privacy each time.
