LOGINAverine Cullen, the half human and half werewolf girl had only one dream; to find her fated mate and leave her Alpha father, his family and the toxic pack forever but she had a flaw. She was scentless. On the night of her eighteenth birthday, she met her destined mate who claimed her without realizing their mate bond and disappeared the next morning. Humiliated and punished, she was given to cruel Alpha Heyden Croft in a marriage but he had other plans for her. He presented her in a secret auction to sell her to the highest bidder. There was no hope for Averine to escape the hell she was about to experience until Lycan King, Winston Primrose crashed the auction to claim the girl whose face had been bothering him ever since he laid his eyes upon her and spent an unforgettable night with her. She was claimed by him but he was yet to discover the connection between them.

"My sweet little child, even if you're half human, a scentless abonimation for your father, I believe that you are born to unite worlds. You're not a curse, you're the blessing for someone who is incomplete without you."
My mother's only memory, a letter left for me from her was the only source of hope that urged me to keep going and fighting my inner demons everyday to survive and thrive.
I am Averine Cullen, the Alpha's scentless half human daughter who was born out of a mate bond and I was the curse whom the whole pack despised.
It was just after the evening, the sun was descending behind the clusters of trees and everything was incredibly quiet. Stretching my paws, I steadily ran through the woods, the scent of damp earth, the sound of nocturnal creatures and slowly creeping darkness bathed in the silvery light, it gave me the only thing I wished.
Comfort in solitude as my life was nothing but a tragic saga of its own kind.
Running under the moon was my daily therapy after a day’s hard labour, school and mental torture from everyone at the pack, at the school and the house which I could never call my home.
“Averine, come back. Your father is looking for you everywhere. It is the time.”
I heard my best friend, Sophie’s voice in my head and it made my wolf Kira whin. We didn’t want to go back but we couldn’t defy my father, Alpha Gavin Cullen’s order or the consequences won’t be favourable for us.
My ash grey furs ruffled under the breeze, the air had a different scent in that night.
The night I turned eighteen and supposed to find my mate.
But I was a cursed wolf who didn’t have the ‘special scent’ that every wolf possessed.
Unlike any other Alpha’s daughter, nobody was excited for me. My father didn’t throw a party for me, inviting all the unmated wolves so I could find my mate.
It was just another ordinary day when I cursed my birth.
Reluctantly I returned home and when I walked through the main door, I spotted my father, his beta, the luna and my half siblings pacing in the living room. Sophie was also present there.
“Where have you been, Averine? Nobody makes me wait like this.” My father asked me in his alpha tone which was a clear indication that I must act cautiously if I didn’t want to be locked on my birthday.
“I am sorry, Father. I was on a run and stopped by my mother’s grave in the way.” I bowed in front of him, not giving him another reason to be mad at me.
“You are eighteen now. When will you learn to be more responsible, Averine? Do not forget that you are an alpha’s daughter. We have accepted you in the family despite your petty human genes. Do not disrespect us and make us regret our decision.”
A venomous voice, laced in sarcasm sliced my heart. It was Luna, my stepmother glaring coldly at me, mocking my identity as half human and half werewolf.
It wasn’t my choice to be born in that way.
“Mom, Dad, it’s Averine’s birthday today. Let’s not scold her on her special day. She deserves a birthday celebration. I have arranged a small party for her at our farmhouse.” Amara, my half elder sister jumped in the conversation with a wide smile pretending to be very excited for my birthday.
As if I didn’t know her true colours.
“Thank you, Amara but I don’t want to celebrate my birthday.” I tried my best to sound polite.
A low warning growl escaped from my father’s throat.
“Amara is only humble with you. How can you talk back at her?” Luna snorted.
I looked over Sophie for help but she gave me a helpless look.
My own birthday party wasn’t my choice.
“Go and get ready, Averine. You turned eighteen today and it’s a tradition that we all must follow. You may find your mate tonight but I advise you to tell me first if it’s not someone from the high rank. I can’t tolerate any shame to the family.” My father warned me in a brief bunch of words before leaving with his beta and my half brother who was just fifteen.
“Amara, what are you thinking? How can you celebrate her birthday?” The Luna threw me another hatred filled look before walking away from there.
“Sophie, can you help my little sister to get ready for her big surprise?” Amara ordered Sophie.
“Sure, Amara.” Sophie pressed a smile.
She couldn’t defy Amara, the alpha’s favourite daughter.
I had a deep feeling that Amara’s wicked mind was up to something but I didn’t have much of a choice. She was too shady, always acting innocent after creating chaos for me. I was her favourite toy.
“Averine, be careful. Amara will definitely do something to make your life more difficult. I hope you’ll be fine.” Sophie said once she helped me to sit in the car.
“You aren’t coming?” I asked her feeling horrified. She was only moral support.
“No, I am not invited in the party and my Dad strictly told me to stay home since there will me unmated wolves around.” She shook her head helplessly and closed the door.
The car moved to the outskirts of our pack where the farmhouse was located, a place I’d never want to go.
Upon reaching at the farmhouse, I found it oddly quiet.
There wasn’t even a single soul. The car drove away after dropping me off. The moon was now shining over me.
The time of almost the midnight when my wolf would be less powerful and more emotionally active to search our mate.
“Amara?”
I shouted my sister’s name but I could tell she wasn’t there and it proved to be her another prank on me. The full moon didn’t force us to shift like other wolves.
Suddenly, a strong, too intense to ignore scent floated in the air which made Kira increasingly excited, it was a scent of another presence, someone of great power, I could feel it but Kira threw all the precautions and led us inside the eerily quiet farmhouse.
And the owner of such enchanting scent appeared in front of me, the dark silhouette. A pair of piercing golden eyes locked with my brown orbs, in an instant, I felt an invisible bridge between us.
What was happening?
There was a creature, taller than an alpha wolf and more muscular was standing in front of me but here my wolf didn’t want to retreat and save our life.
Amara played us but I was more curious in the dark shadow of a mysterious man.
When he closed the remaining distance between us, I scarcely forgot to breathe.
He looked unreal. How could be someone as handsome as him. Strong jaws, raven black hairs tied ina bun and tattoo of wolves adoring the side of his neck.
The moment he raised his hand to touch my face, I felt my cold body melting, the warmth filled me to the brim.
Kira was overjoyed and almost jumped on him when he inhaled and moved his head close to my neck, my whole body froze.
“Mate!’
Kira exclaimed with joy but I was too numb and blank to react. We found our mate in an impossibly beautiful man whose identity was still a mystery to me.
“What is your name, girl?”
His smooth, honey like voice yet held so much intensity that it made me forget everything when he grazed his teeth on my soft, virgin skin.
“Scarlett..” I told him my middle name, the one given by my mother.
“Such a beautiful name.” He looked up, his lips were curved into a contagious smile.
“Mine.”
Possession filled his gaze and voice as he claimed me.
Who was he?
He didn’t give me more time to dwell as he crashed his lips over mine, silencing my words and freezing my mind. His strong arms snaked around my waist.
Kira was overjoyed and the feeling affected me on the same level. Finally, I’d be free from the toxic pack and people who only belittled me.
I leaned on my mate who hadn’t told me his name yet but I cared least.
Picking me up in his strong arms, he led us to a room. The kiss had turned into passionate hunger. I was so tiny in his comparison when he gently laid me down on the bed. I adored his masculine beauty in the dim light.
“Who are you?” I managed to ask him.
“Someone you will never forget, Scarlet.” He responded in the same deep voice and soon our clothes landed on the floor.
“You are mine, no one else has the right to touch you after this night, Scarlet.” He said before entering in my virgin folds.
His palms covering my breasts. I felt like I’d be torn but soon the pleasure was too much to handle and too magical to forget.
He made love to me till the early hours of the morning, touching and worshipping every single inch of my skin and saying sweet words to me. He made me feel wanted.
His words felt genuine and I wanted to spend the rest of my life in his arms before sleep engulfed me and I had a very beautiful dream.
My soul was merged with my mystical mate.
AverineI stared at my reflection in the mirror. The girl dressed in an off white, lacy wedding gown with pearl studded on the veil looked different. She was beautiful but there was no happiness or excitement in her eyes.It was me.I was about to walk down the aisle to marry my fated mate but the marriage wasn’t happening out of love or mate bond.He didn’t even know that I was his fated mate. I didn’t know why he was marrying me. Was it only because he marked me or there was something else. But I was sure about thing.I and Kira would give our best to win his heart and make him love us and recognize our mate bond.“Why are you getting all excited? Do you really think that this pack will accept you as their Luna?” A tall woman walked into the room, her eyes full of disapproval.Well, she wasn’t the first one who passed such hateful remark at me. Almost everyone had same perception about me. They blamed me for Veronica’s miseries. They had always pictured her as their luna and in hone
Averine The pack treated me well if I had to put it in words. They didn’t treat me like a prisoner, that’s what I meant but it didn’t mean that I was happy there.Life felt more suffocated to me, locked in a room, listening to the whispers outside. For them, I was a subject of curiosity, a runt whom their alpha wanted to marry. The only thought of marrying my fated mate thrilled me but at the same time, I felt shivers in my body because for him, I was just a prize, his claimed territory that he didn’t want to lose.It broke my heart but Kira consoled me saying slowly he’d feel the mate bond because our Goddess had chosen us as his mate.Suddenly, the door opened and I sat up straight. I expected it to be the maid but I was surprised to find Logan at the doorstep with the same frown.“Make yourself presentable, we’re going to the elders’ meeting. You’ll be questioned by them to test your honesty and your conduct.” He said to me in an ordering tone.My stomach twisted. An interrogation
Winston“Winston, who is this girl?”My mother’s questioning gaze met mine.“She’s just an ordinary girl, Mother. You don’t need to get alarmed. She is harmless.” I said in a baritone. She walked up to me, her sharp eyes trying to find edge in my words.“She’s just an ordinary girl. I heard from Logan that you killed fifteen alphas in the werewolf territory for this girl. Why is your answer contradicting with your actions, Winston?” She chuckled.“She’s a leverage that I can use over her father, Alpha Gavin Cullen, the bastard must pay for his sins.” I said with anger pulsating through my veins. Her face turned dark on the mention of Alpha Gavin Cullen.“You brought his blood on our land? How could you be so senseless, Winston?” She growled at me. Her body trembling with rage.“Mother, Averine is half-human, an illegitimate child he had with a human so she isn’t a threat but we’re a death nestle for her.” I tried to reason with my mother.“Don’t forget that he was the main conspirator
Averine Coiled in the corner of the car, almost pasted to the window, I kept staring out of the window, staring blankly at the passing clusters of trees, hills and also towns. I didn’t know how many hours had passed as the car drove through the spiral mountain roads until I saw foreign land.To say, I had never seen such scenic beauty. It was an area of dense forest yet lush green fields could be seen as far as I could see, river streaming down the hills. It captured my heart but I wasn’t exactly feeling like celebrating. The man sitting on the passenger seat held an aura which both terrified and overwhelmed me at the same time. I didn’t dare to glance at him but I could feel his gaze on me, his powerful wolf tried to connect with us but I knew, he was supressing his wolf.Perhaps, he saw me as a possession he won from Alpha Hayden.“Alpha, we’re here.”I heard the other man, his Beta speaking and I realized that we had stopped in front of a huge house, probably his packhouse. It was
