REVENGE GONE WRONG
Author: Knighted

He is heartless

Selena knelt at the feet of Andrei markos not daring to look up at his face. She kept her eyes level with his feet. His shoes looked expensive. She was almost sure It was worth the money he accused her father of stealing.

He watched her disdainfully like she was thrash. She couldn't understand how a young boy could be so cruel. Why he didn't have sympathy for those who couldn't afford all the luxury that his money could buy.

His gaze was like granite. They bore into her, intimidating her, making her fidget.

"Speak up pig, what do you want?" His rough voice crawled all over her skin sending shivers down her spine in fear. He was calling her a pig because of how chubby she was. It hurt but she had to save her dad so she willingly took all the insults he hurled at her.

“my father is innocent. He is not a thief and he worked for your father all his life. Please investigate this issue. My father is all I have left in this world. Don't let him rot in jail”.

She pleaded, tears streaming down her face as she noticed his unchanging expression. He watched her with a dark look in his eyes like he hated the idea of her being in the same place that he was.

Then he was suddenly laughing like a maniac.

"Your father is a thief and you should be happy that I did not decide to throw you in jail with him. The nerve for you to come to my presence and plead for your criminal-minded father. No one steals from the markos empire and go scot-free "

" My father is not a thief!!" She yelled out in frustration. He didn't seem to take it too well, so she softened her pitch, lowering her gaze.

" This is not fair to me or my father. We've served you all our lives and just this once you won't even investigate to find out the truth. My father has been framed yet you won't even bother to look into it.” she got out, her temper rising towards the end.

He gaped at her incredulously like he couldn't believe she would dare to speak to him that way. He waved his hand, signaling two of the men that flanked the mansion. The guards were soon there grabbing at her roughly, pulling her to her feet, keeping her in place as their boss approached her. She struggled as he got closer to her. He grabbed at her jaw, turning her face from side to side.

“I will not tolerate being spoken to in that manner by a lowlife nobody. Your father will pay for his crimes as the law states. As for you, you have no use for me. You wouldn't even be good for the whorehouses” he muttered harshly letting go of her face like she had the plague. She glared at him, hating him with every fiber of her being. She made sure he could see just how much she loathed him. He wasn't bothered in the slightest. He looked almost bored.

"Throw her out. Make sure she has some bruises to remember me by" he ordered cruelly and Selena's eyes widened, then it was the two guards practically carrying her off her feet, dragging her towards the gate. They got out of the mansion and they proceeded to toss her like a sack of dirt. She landed hard on the floor almost out of breath, blood trickling down her elbows and thigh.

She gasped in pain trying to breathe and get her bearings.

She went home to their dingy apartment which felt empty without her father. He had been caught stealing immediately after Andrei took over the company. His motives they said was to gather money to pay her tuition and start his own business. She knew in her heart it was all a lie. Her father was not a thief. He denied having anything to do with the missing funds. She knew her father hated lies, had trained her to always speak the truth, and damn the consequences, so she knew he didn't steal from Andrei Marko.

You'd think with the billions they possessed, they'll let a little theft go. They didn't of course and now her father was paying for a crime he did not commit.

She tried her best to find evidence but she was young, broke, and clueless about how to start.

The dreadful night of her life came when she heard that the prison was on fire. She had rushed there screaming on top of her lungs for help as she tried to rush into the building. The wardens held her back despite her struggles. She watched helplessly as the building her father was held in burnt to ashes. She could hear screams coming out of the building tearing at the strings that held her soul together.

As she collapsed to the floor, she swore that Andrei would die at her hand. He would pay for making her lose the only person who ever cared about her.

She swore, as long as she had breath. She was going to destroy Andrei Markos.
