I woke up by 8 am and I rushed downstairs to the kitchen to clean and prepare breakfast. I gently removed Lucas’s hand around my waist and I walked outside the room.

I was already very used to waking up early in the morning. In Logan’s house back then we used to wake up as early as 7 am at times to prepare breakfast if Logan had an early morning meeting or a flight to catch. I remember how I used to stare at him from the kitchen window with a lot of love only for him to take advantage of my love and calmness.

When I got to the kitchen there were already staff inside cooking and cleaning the whole house. The house looked very dirty from the party yesterday.

“Good morning ma'am. What are you doing so early?”

One of the girls cleaning asked me and I was lost for words.

Why was I up so early? I am married to the owner of this house. I need to act like it but it doesn't mean I can't at least assist with some house chores.

“What is your name?”

I asked the girl, and she smiled.

“My name is Glory”

“Well, Glory I am up early so I can assist with some of the chores, okay? I hope that is a good explanation?”

She looked around in confusion. I don't blame her because why would the wife of your boss want to help out with chores, right? But I mean it is not such a big deal after all.

“I don't think The boss or his Grandma will like this, Ma’am”

The girl said calmly and I had to stand for a minute to understand what she was trying to say.

“Why would they have an issue with it? I am only offering to assist, right?”

“I don't know, ma’am. But the boss might not appreciate it, especially the fact that it is a day after your wedding”

“It is fine, Glory. I will only help for a few minutes and then leave, alright?”

She nodded and I walked into the kitchen. I started with the kitchen cabinet and I also wiped the dust off the plates.

One of the staff walked into the kitchen and she was surprised to see me in there.

“I am sorry, madam but why are you here? You shouldn't be here, please”

I turned around and looked at her calmly but she had a rather serious look on her face. It was more like disgust.

Like she was irritated to see me there.

“And you are? I mean what is your name”

“I am the head staff in this house, madam”

“I asked for your name”

She stared at me and smiled. She is definitely going to be a problem for me to handle. The way she stared and clenched her jaw felt more like she didn't like me. I don't mind her hating me but heaven knows that I will not accept insults from anyone. Enough of people stepping on me and telling me what to do. Now I will do whatever I want and I won't feel bad about it.

“My name is Misha, madam”

“Misha? Where are you from?”

“From the Asian part of the world, ma’am”

She obviously didn't want to hold a conversation with me so it's better to allow it and not force her.

“It is fine Misha. I decided to assist in the chores today so instead of telling me what and what not to do you should also join up, okay?”

“This is not right, madam. It is our job and not yours”

I looked and frowned at her.

“I said join up in cleaning, Misha”

She walked away and joined the other women while I continued what I was doing.

It feels so good to be in charge at times. All my life I have been receiving and obeying orders but now I am being addressed as madam. And I am giving out orders too.

I hated what Logan did to me but maybe it was for the best because I would probably still be stuck in his house as a chef and his side piece woman he calls whenever he wants.

When I was done wiping the dirt off from the cabinets I decided to prepare breakfast. I mean that is the least I can do for Lucas and his Nana for both accepting me into their lives but most especially Lucas. He accepted me even with all my flaws and he has never treated me wrongly. He has so much respect for women.

His mother surely raised him well. Speaking of parents he never said anything about his parents to me and they both were not present in the wedding. I hope everything is good between him and his parents.

I prepared pasta and fried chicken. While preparing it I put in extra work just so Lucas would eat and enjoy it. I walked back upstairs and surprisingly he was still sleeping. It was past 10. Why was he still sleeping? Does he usually sleep this late? I kept thinking if I should wake him up or not.

“Sir, are you still sleeping?”

I tapped his hands gently. I know my question was dumb but I didn't know what else to say.

He moved a little on the bed and slightly opened his eyes.

“Good morning, Lily”

“Good morning, sir. Breakfast is ready”

“What do you mean by that, Lily? And why are you sweating?”

I prepared breakfast, sir.

He looked very shocked and he kept staring at me like I spoke in French and he didn't understand what I said.

“You cooked? Why did you do that? There are enough staff in the house”

“I know that sir, and trust me they tried countless times to stop me but I shunned them so please do not be mad at them I insisted”

“Why?”

“I want you to eat the food I prepared myself today, sir”
