After Luna Ruthian exits the kitchen, Beta Kendrick carries me to my room and literally throws me to my bed. He curses all the way, he speaks of how disgusting I am and how I am stinking. He then covers me all the way to my head with the blanket that I can hardly breathe. The attic has no windows for aeration.

“You better die tonight, Omega.” He spits before leaving. I resign myself to death, there is no reason for living anymore. Maybe this is where my miserable life will end, I wanted so much, but this is all I get. Perhaps in my next life I will be something. With that, I close my eyes, my stomach is rumbling for staying without food for the whole day, and my body aches from the injuries Caleb inflicted on me. I can only feel my upper body, I can't feel myself from the waist down, but I am also aware of the blood oozing from the cut.

It takes me a while but sleep overtakes me.
