Sebastian was more than prepared for his first new challenge as a Sentinel, not just an ordinary Sentinel but as the leader of the Sentinels. He knew very well that it would be nothing like what he had faced before in the dungeons building new cells and carving out new structures for Alpha Jaime. Everyone had always talked about how strong he was and how he could handle whatever role was given to him, even the role of a warrior but he knew that it was beyond just words. It was far more difficult than they said it was and he had to have a knowledge about what he was getting into before getting into it. Sebastian realized as soon as he stepped out of the pack house that Jiminโs words of encouragement was all he actually needed. The first night watch turned out to be more revealing than any of them had expected it to be. It was a silent walk all the way down the woods and the six of them walked carefully, making sure to watch each otherโs backs. Jimin had already given them a short debriefing on how Lycans attacked and in his speech, he had made sure to inform them that the average Lycan was three times as smart as the average werewolf. None of them liked the fact that he was comparing them with Lycans and so they frowned as he told them. Jimin smiled inwardly, knowing that his little story would work on them exactly the same way it has worked on him some seven years ago when he was going out for his first Sentinel duty. Her hair was the color of burning lava and she emanated a degree of heat from her body that made the two of them back off slowly as she walked closer to them. Both Jimin and Sebastian knew who she was or at least they thought they knew โ Calistรฉโ, the legendary witch, the sworn enemy of their dead Alpha King, Dan Damon. The look of hatred and the fire burning in her eyes was more than enough to tell them that she had not forgotten what Dan had did to her family and she had not forgiven them. โSebastian Coatรฉs,โ Calistรฉ smiled. Her voice was husky and cold. It reminded Sebastian of a damsel in distress, calling for help, except that she was not a damsel. Jimin watched as Layla rallied the group together in the small study, the space getting filled up immediately with eager faces ready to fight for their Alpha, for their kingdom.
