The following day, we were heading to the portal room and crossing the threshold to the Dragon Realm. As usual, I used the private portal network that was intended for family use.
We arrived at the castle lobby, and Ava greeted us. “Hey, welcome,” she smiled, and I gave her a quick hug. Zane stood behind uncomfortably, witnessing the open displays of affection. I suppose it was a bit unusual for him, given that he was raised in isolation.
“Ava, this is Zane, my mate,” I said, and she smiled.
“Welcome to the Dragon realm, Zane...” She was very sweet and accommodating.
“Let me show you to your bedrooms,” she turned around, and I fell into step beside her.
“Rooms?” I placed the question, and she laughed.
“Grecco talked to Arman, and he said that you should stay in separate rooms...” Ava said, and I huffed. Why are they meddling in this shit. Za
