Valarie's p.o.v
"Son," I whispered in fear.
He stood furiously facing the window.
He didn't have to say a word for me to know how he was feeling. At this rate, he was more threatening than usual. But there was still hope of calming him down.
"I really was never meant to love anyone. No one was ever going to love me anyway." He muttered under his breath for the fourth time.
"That's not true and you know that," I whispered softly.
He turned and stared at me with a cold, murderous expression. The warmth and love that was usually filled in his eyes when Paula was around was no longer present. In front of me was the Adrean most people in our kingdom feared and avoided.
