Aiden’s POV

God, he’s beautiful when he’s asleep.

That’s the first thought that hits me as I watch Nikolai’s chest rise and fall in the pale light slipping through the blinds.

His dark hair is a mess against the pillow, one arm flung above his head, the other resting loose across his stomach.

The sheet has ridden low on his hips, barely covering him, and the sight of all that bare skin makes my body react.
