CHAPTER 30

After a few minutes passing by, the same familiar structure of the house engulfed my view. He parked his car at the side and just like that, I was at the same place we used to live together. 

I took a deep sigh and just did what he wanted. I’m already tired of fighting back when in the end he always wins because of his strength. 

Silence reigned upon us as we entered the place quietly. No one was trying to break the silence as my eyes glanced at him; looking like he was having deep thoughts. I suddenly remembered my daughter, I’m sure at this hour she’d be waiting for me now. I took out my phone from the inside of my bag and dialed my mom’s number on the phone while I saw him going towards the kitchen.

I even distanced myself a little more so he wouldn’t hear me. After a few rings, they answered from the other side of the call.
