Rhea

“I’m not weak.”

The words came out firm. Steadier than I felt.

Brandon pushed off the wall and started moving toward me.

“You’re weak.” His voice was flat. Matter-of-fact. “And that’s not what the Sterling family is known for.”

“I’m not a Sterling.”

“But that’s not what everyone else thinks.” He stopped just inches away. Too close. “They all know you’re my stepsister. My baby sister.” His eyes held mine. “And appearing weak like that? Letting Camilla run over you? It’s embarrassing.”

His gaze dropped.

Heat flooded my face as I realized what he was looking at. My wet shirt clung to my skin, nearly transparent now. My nipples pressed against the fabric, hard from the cold water, visible.

His eyes crawled back up to my face.

“Cat.” His voice had changed. Gone thick. Heavy with lust. “You need to do better.”

I swallowed hard. “Better?”

“Better means standing up for yourself. Not embarrassing this family.” He took another step. I was trapped between him and the sink. “You’re not weari

Rhea“I just wish I could have my first kiss already,” Elora sighed, her expression turning dreamy and distant. “Then maybe I would understand what you’re going through. What it actually feels like to want someone that badly.”A small smile tugged at my lips despite everything. “Are you talking about having your first kiss with Chad?”“Ew! Oh my God, no!” Elora shoved my shoulder hard, her face scrunching up in genuine disgust. “Rhea, seriously? Chad? That’s absolutely disgusting. I would rather kiss literally anyone else in this entire school.”We were both laughing now. Real laughter that eased some of the crushing tension in my chest. For just a moment, things felt almost normal again. Then the classroom door opened. We both turned toward the sound.A guy stood in the doorway. He was tall with dark hair that fell into his eyes, and he wore a worn leather jacket that looked like it had seen better days.My heart stopped beating.No. This couldn’t be happening.“Rhea?” His voice hit

RheaWe found an empty classroom on the third floor. Elora shut the door behind us and turned to face me, her arms crossed over her chest.“Okay, spill. Right now. What the hell happened?”I sank into one of the chairs, my legs finally giving out. Everything was shaking—my hands, my legs, even my voice when I tried to speak. The adrenaline that had carried me through the last hour was crashing hard, leaving only exhaustion and shame in its wake.At least I had Elora. We’d been best friends since high school, and she’d kept every single one of my secrets without fail. Through my parents’ messy divorce, through my mom’s sudden marriage to Mr. Sterling, through every chaotic moment of my life, she’d been there. She never judged, never told, never turned her back on me. If I couldn’t trust her, I couldn’t trust anyone.“Camilla has pictures of me.”Elora blinked at me. “What kind of pictures?”“Pictures of me in the boys’ locker room. Half-naked. With obvious evidence that I’d just been w

RheaI stood outside the cafeteria doors, trying to pull myself together. My shirt was still slightly damp, clinging to my skin in all the wrong places. My hair was a mess no matter how many times I ran my fingers through it. And between my legs, I could still feel him. I could still feel the ghost of Brandon’s tongue, the ache he’d left behind that refused to fade.I looked like exactly what I was. Someone who’d just been thoroughly destroyed in a bathroom.I took a deep breath. I could do this. I just had to walk in, get to Elora, and figure out what came next.I pushed through the doors. The cafeteria was still noisy with voices and laughter. But heads started turning when I stepped inside, one by one, until it felt like the entire room was staring at me.Whispers erupted and spread like wildfire across the tables. My stomach dropped to the floor.“Is that her?”“Did you hear what happened?”“Someone said she was the one getting fucked in the bathroom.”Heat exploded across my face

Rhea“Hello?” The lady’s voice called from outside again. “Is someone in there?”The handle jiggled again. My heart slammed against my ribs. It’s over! Today wasn’t just my lucky day. It’d been from one humiliating moment to another… and now…“Get the fuck out!” Brandon’s voice exploded, sharp and commanding.Footsteps scrambled away. Running.Silence settled back over us, this time, it was heavier and charged. Brandon and Jackson, their voices carried so much command that no one dared to disobey. You didn’t even need to see them to feel threatened, their voice carried as much weight as their body.Brandon’s eyes found mine again. “Now.” His thumb pressed harder against my clit, making me whimper. “You haven’t answered my question, Cat.”I couldn’t breathe. I couldn’t think of a better word to say. I imagined what his tongue would feel like against my clit, and the thought alone made my head spin. No man had ever done that to me before—not even my ex-boyfriend, Nick. I’d only ever see

RheaElora and I shuffled through the cafeteria line holding our trays. I poked at the mystery meat with my fork, already regretting my choice, but hunger won out over pickiness. We grabbed our food, hers a salad that looked way too optimistic for this place, mine a sad sandwich, and we headed toward the tables. As we walked, Elora leaned in, her voice insistently low. “Okay, spill. What happened after those idiots dragged you off like that? Don’t tell me it was nothing.”I kept my eyes on the floor, dodging a stray backpack. “Nothing.”“Nothing.” She didn’t believe me. I could hear it in the way she repeated the word. “Rhea, did they hurt you? Threaten you to keep quiet?” Her hand touched my arm. “You can tell me. I swear to God, I’ll punch their faces for laying a hand on you.”I couldn’t help it, a snicker escaped before I could clamp it down. This was the same girl who’d crumpled like a paper bag when Brandon shoved, and now she was talking like she could take on the whole crew. “
