Forty: Rayne
I used to read in books that when a person is in love, they would be willing to do anything for their lover. I was always the one to disagree with that, I was never convinced that a person could let go of their morals or something they love just because they love somebody. I could have never imagined myself as the one to bend her morals and point of views because she fell in love; however, it turned out that I was not an exception.

I felt guilty, I was so guilty because I could not protect her. She told me that she found safety with me and I betrayed her. I promised her before that I was going to keep her safe, yet I broke my promise. I could not get her piercing scream out of my head and how she was helpless on the ground; I was helpless, too. It was all my fault, if I did not take her to that forest she would have been safe and sound. Out of all the places in the world, did I really have to take her to that forest? I was so tired. I had no energy in me to even roll my body on the bed. My whole body was in pain and I felt like it was on fire. Every once in a while, I let out a whimper or a scream that I did my best to suppress, but the pain was way stronger than me. It seemed like my whole life became a continuous cycle of pain that would never come to an end.
