Eira’s POV

I don't know whether to lie that Dolphus had agreed to come, or just tell the truth because the last night I asked him, he had told me to discard the idea. Now I’m scared that if I told Selene that, she might not even want to rethink going out of the Palace.

“Uhmm.. He had agreed earlier, but you know we had a fight. I don't know about his decision for now but when I get back, I will ask him again and give you a response tomorrow. What do you think about that?” I answered, saying half truth and half lie.

Well, the lie won't matter if I managed to persuade Dolphus to go with us and that's going to be my top priority when I get back to the courtyard.

I will ask him to go with us. Maybe even coerce him a little bit.

“Oh, that's okay. Make sure you tell me his decisions tomorrow, you know by next tomorrow you are going to the mountains and we won't see until a few hours, ” Selene mumbled.

That's when I remembered the questions that had been on my mind since.

    Eira’s POV“Why?” the vampire King and I asked simultaneously while Selene looked like she was planning on how to make her brother refuse.“My sister's death anniversary is near and I have to go and go back for a while,” Dolphus answered.“Isabella’s death anniversary is near?     Eira’s POVThe first step of Selene's surgery took a while. Her orbs were too dusty and it was hard to find the main cause of the whole issue but because I had given her a sleep-inducing drug, I was able to take my time. The plant that the vampire King and I had to go pick at the mountain too also came in handy even though I had mixed it with others. It pushed out the Legendary snakes’ toxins, and I was able to see where the problem lies.After a few hours, I rested in the chair beside me, Totally exhausted. Even Esme was tired since she was my help and she was going about during the whole surgery. This was also her first surgical experience.“Are you okay?” I asked, but my voice came out breathlessly.“I’m fine, you are the one that did the whole work,” She answered, standing up.“Where are you going?
