Oliver

Rowan was absent minded the whole time.

We walked into the theatre for the show with our popcorn in hand and all through as we watched, he stared blankly at the screen, his mind faraway.

I had asked a thousand times if he was enjoying himself and he would responded with a curt nod or a dismissive yes.

And even when his favorite part came on, he didn’t seem to find it funny.

“When you were a child, you would cry and thrash around if mum decided you’ve had enough screen time for the day,” I said, turning to face him.

Rowan looked at me with bored eyes, digging his hand into his popcorn.

“Dad was the one who would plead on your behalf and mum would soften up a bit,”

“I can’t remember any of that and I don’t mean to be rude but I can’t recall any of this. This show… I’m just not getting anything from it,” Rowan said.

194 Oliver Two hours had passed and I was still at the same spot, staring at the heap of old family pictures. Just looking at them there untouched made my tummy flip in an uncomfortable way. Those pictures reminded me of memories that burned my soul, memories I would rather forget My phone rang out, It's ringing tone pierced through the emotional daze I was in and without bothering to know who was calling, I answered the call. Anything to avoid looking into those photo album again. "Hey babe, how are you?" Jessica's cheerful voice filled my ears and suddenly, the day became a lot more better. I smiled, pressing my phone to my ear. *working as always love. What about you? How has rehearsals been?" I asked. Jessica huffed. " I'm stressed but still yet, I know this is for me. I just have to keep pushing, she replied. Since she was part of the contestant and i wanted her to be fully prepared, I hired professionals to teach Jessica so she stood out and with how cast she learns,

193 Jessica Ollie insisted we went shopping despite my insistence that I didn’t need a new dress. “You’re my woman, I don’t need an excuse to get you a new dress,” he replied, shutting down my complain. We walked into the store and a store attendant walked up to us but Ollie dismissed her. “What do you think about this?” He asked, picking a shiny royal blue dress. I wasn’t convinced the dress would fit but I was willing to try. Politely, I took the dress and after selecting three more to the list, walked to the changing room. That’s where the real problem started. I couldn’t reach where the zip was. Not until… “Here, let me,” Ollie said from behind me. My breath hitched. His palm laid flat on my back, illiciting goosebumps on my skin. I had not even heard him come into the dressing room! I blushed profusely as he took his time, his hands lingering too long on my back as he zipped me up. “Thank you,” I whispered out shyly. I took a step forward but he stopped me, my ba

192 Oliver I leaned on the counter, a wide smile on my face as I watched Jessica. She was making us cupcakes. “You know, I think staring so intensely at a person should come with a fine,” Jessica teased. A grin spread on my face as I wiggled my brows at her. “I’m willing to pay whatever it costs, if it means I can look at your beautiful face all day long,” I replied. She rolled her eyes at me as she added more flour to the mixture. Watching her bake did something to me… it turned me on. I bit my lower lips as I stood behind her, wrapping my hands around her waist and pulling her closer to my chest. She had the perfect height for me, her ass at my crotch. I couldn’t help myself from spanking her ass lightly. Jessica gasped in surprise, moaning slightly as I caressed the stink of my palm away. “You should stop,” she half moaned. Her hands lazily mixed the flour in the bowl while her eyelids were half closed. The fact that I could turn her on so fast only seemed to heighten

191Jessica“They’re so many people here,” I muttered to myself. Ollie helped me out of the Rolls Royce Cadillac we had come in and immediately a thousand lights flashed in my eyes, almost blinding me.It was the day of the party we were attending on behalf of grandpa and though we were an hour late, the party was still full of life. The paparazzi present were so much that I was beginning to think I had just arrived at the MET Gala.“Ignore them,” Ollie whispered in my ear, his voice calm and soothing. He gave me his elbow which I took and together we marched forward into the great hall where over a hundred guests were present. Every single person present was either a billionaire or a millionaire. They all wore fancy dresses, the men suited up in expensive Armani suits and the women in different designs from Versace to Chanel and Dior, their necks and ears were adorned with diamonds that cost a fortune.I wasn’t exempt of course. My royal blue dress glittered in the room like a thou

180 Jessica Since I was going to the party with Ollie, he decided to take me shopping for the perfect dress. “What do you think about this?” He asked, picking a silver dress. I wasn’t convinced the dress would fit but I was willing to try. I had enough confidence that Ollie wouldn’t let me go with him looking like a drag queen. Politely, I took the dress and after selecting three more to the list, walked to the changing room. That’s where the real problem started. I couldn’t reach my back where the zip was. Not until… “Let me help you,” Ollie said from behind me. Goosebumps filled my skin as his hands touched my bare back fleetingly. I didn’t even hear him come into the dressing room! I blushed profusely as he took his time, his finger grazin my back as he fixed my zip. “Thank you,” I whispered out shyly. I made a move to leave but he stopped me, his eyes raking over my body. “I could think of another way to thank me,” Ollie whispered in my ear. My back slammed to his ch
