Chapter 54

Oliver Hall

“Pick your damn call, Liam!” I gritted out, one hand holding my phone to my ear, and the other on the steering wheel, driving roughly down the road.

The call ended with a beep, but still, I didn't give up. I dialled the number again.

“Shit!”

I tossed my phone on the seat beside me, marching on the accelerator as the car sped through the road.

Don't do something stupid, Liam. You are not protecting Jess. You are going to put her in more trouble.

I reached the villa where Liam has been staying, and as I barged inside the house, Patricia, his maid met me at the door.

“Mr. Hall… Good evening.”

“Where is Liam?” My eyes scanned around, then back to her, impatient.

“He is not in. He hasn't returned after he stepped out in the morning.”

Shit!

I dragged my fingers through my hair, frustrated.

Chapter 68 Viktor Holt ‘Where are you?’ My eyes were glued to my phone, reading my last text to Jessica. It was still left unanswered. Was she not throwing tantrums? Was she serious about the divorce shit? I let out a scoff. For a second, I almost considered calling her… Almost. But I didn't. She will come crawling back to me soon, begging me to forgive her for making that silly mistake. “Yes, she will.” I muttered, letting out a sigh. “Hey, Viktor.” I lifted my gaze. Susanne stood before me. For a second, my eyes swept around her body. She had only a baggy shirt on. One that stopped just below her butt. Her hair fell freely down her shoulders. My brows knitted together when I recognised the shirt she was wearing. Wait! Isn't that the shirt Jess got for me on my last birthday? I shot to my feet, locking eyes with her. “Where'd you get that?” I wanted to believe that it was just identical to the cloth. I had kept the cloth for one year. Not even once did I

Chapter 66 Jessica Hemsworth I pulled up at the cafe shop in a cab. Timothy had sent me the address earlier to hang out for lunch. “Over here…” He waved at me the moment I stepped in, a soft smile playing on his lips. Heat crept up my chest, my grip on my phone tightened as I approached him. “Hey!” My voice cracked as I pulled a chair and sat across from him. “Hey!” He smiled, eyes locked on me. “It's good to see you again.” “Hmm.” An awkward silence thickened around us, my eyes searching everywhere else except his face. “What would you like to have?” “Iced americano is fine.” “Give me a minute.” He stood, and as he walked to the counter, I stared after him. What has he been up to after school? I averted my gaze as he approached me. “Here you go…” he carefully dropped the cup in front of me on the table before taking his seat. “Thank you.” “So, the divorce papers…” I locked eyes with him as I said softly. “Oh… right…” he paused, then took out the small briefcase
