It Could Be Her Recent Ploy To Escape

Andrea felt the tense atmosphere lighten and breathed out a sigh of relief.

Ryker turned to her minutes later and gave his go-ahead order. "Sure, but I will assign a driver and personal bodyguard to you."

Andrea nodded in agreement, and he breathed out a sigh of relief silently. He was really glad that she changed and, although it seemed like a dream; he didn't want it to end.

Andrea headed to her room afterward and slept off. She woke up by 8 am the next morning, much to her horror.

"What did I say about being reborn?" She asked herself as she hurriedly got ready for school.

Before she slept off the night before, she made a mental note to do away with all the bad attitudes her stepmother had instilled in her. One of them included lateness to school.

Ryker, who had been waiting for her in the dining room, frowned when he saw her rushing out of the door.

"Won't you have breakfast?" He asked, and she paused for a few seconds to glance at him.

"I'll eat at the school's cafeteria. Goodbye." She replied and ran out of the house.

She suddenly stopped when she saw the car Ryker had gifted her in her previous life after they became a little closer.

The memories of them with the car flooded back to her, but she didn't have the leisure to relive it when she saw the car's door open and another familiar face popped into her view.

"That is your driver and personal bodyguard, Davis Lynch. He's competent, so you don't have to worry about him." Ryker said, walking out of the house.

However, Andrea's eyes had moistened when she saw Davis. Of course, she knew Davis very well. He was the first friend she made.

Just like now, he had introduced Davis to her as her bodyguard and driver. She had tagged him as very annoying since he kept his eyes on her all the time and often updated Ryker about her location.

He was one of the first people Valerie got rid of, since he was always around her.

Davis stood beside the gray-coloured Lamborghini Aventador. When he noticed Andrea's unwavering gaze at him, he felt a knife wavering above his head.

When Ryker realized she was staring at Davis with a funny expression, he imagined the worst.

"Have you met him before? Are you dissatisfied with him? Do you want me to change him?" He asked all at once, but Andrea shook her head.

She snapped back to reality and smiled lightly. "He's perfect!" Then she skipped towards him like a teenager.

However, Ryker's eyes had darkened, and he stared at Davis with an unfathomable look.

Until he drove away, Davis couldn't help feeling his boss wanted to kill him.

The drive to Law College was an hour. She was really late. Hence, only a few people saw her alight from the car, thankfully.

"You can take the day off and return when I'm done with school." She said before walking away, but Davis shook his head.

Everyone under Ryker had become suspicious of Andrea's niceness and they were afraid it was just one of her ploys to run away.

"Don't worry, Ms. Accardo, waiting for you to be done with school isn't something I can't do." He said in reply, drawing his lips into a thin line.

Andrea shrugged and walked away without another word. Nothing changed about the school. The greenery was still as beautiful as ever, lots of luxurious cars aligned in the parking lots, and lovers still skipped classes.

The secretary who was at the front desk didn't recognize Andrea, who was fond of rolling her hair up into a messy bun, had heavy make-up, and was often dressed in weird outfits.

"New student?" Asked the secretary but Andrea shook her head and took out her student ID.

"Andrea Accardo." She said as she displayed the card for the secretary.

Andrea Accardo was a name everyone knew, and the secretary had also seen the previous her a lot of times and she was not as beautiful as the young girl in front of her.

However, if the young girl said she was Andrea Accardo, then she was Andrea Accardo. After all, who would want to steal the identity of the freak?

Before Andrea walked away from her desk, the secretary complimented her, "I like your new look better."

Valerie and Georgia had made her believe she looked stunning in whatever she wore. That was the truth, but they had convinced her the world needed some change and if anyone hated the way she dressed, she shouldn't bother herself with them.

They inculcated the wrong value into her and she couldn't wait to start putting those values into use!

Lectures had already begun when she arrived in class. Her eyes stopped at the woman, Jessie Lincoln. This woman had tried so hard to know what was going on in her life back then, but all she did was shove her aside.

The male students close to the window whistled upon sighting her. Just like the secretary, they hadn't recognized her.

Andrea massaged her forehead lightly to stop those awful memories from resurfacing again.

"The first-year students' building is at the other end of the compound," Jessie said after realizing Andrea wasn't familiar.

Andrea wasn't one to skip classes. She was a diligent student who had maintained her position as the one who always came first in every examination.

Teachers love intelligent students, so regardless of her attitude, they often condoned her because of her intelligence. Her intelligence was the only thing Valerie and Georgina couldn't hinder.

"I'm not a first-year student, Miss Lincoln. I'm Andrea Accardo." Andrea introduced herself with a smile.

The gentle tone and name made the other students poke out their heads.

Valerie, who sat in the front row of the class, and had her eyes lowered down to her book, going through the study material for the class, suddenly raised her eyes towards the class' entrance.
