Ethan's P.o.v

My heart skipped a beat at the mention of her name. "What...what?" I find myself stuttering on the phone, unable to believe my ears.

"Yes, Ethan."

"And what about her?" I asked, trying to keep my tone casual as I whispered whilst subconsciously moving away from the bed and Jane who is now fast asleep.

I walked out of our bedroom and stood at the terrace.

"You need to see her man. She's looking so great— so upgraded and more beautiful than the other time from the picture," Nathan said, his words sparking a mix of emotions in me.

I had show Nathan and some of my other friends Freya's picture during a hang out after they requested for what she looked like back then. They have only met her through our shared pictures and not physically.

I felt my heart dance as Freya's name echoed in my mind like a whisper from the past. It's been seven good years, yet the mere mention of her name still had the power to stir up emotions I thought I'd long buried.
