*The Whispering Forest*

“How long is she going to keep going into the cavern?” Kael asked the Moonborn Healer.

“Until I finish crafting a bracelet for her,” the healer said.

It had been a while since Kael had surfaced from the stream. He had not slept, always watching the deep water where Elara had gone.

The Moonborn Healer had rested only until dawn. When the elder saw that Elara had brought out one large purple crystal from the cavern, she started working on it.

Kael watched her work

~ Elara ~*Frostfang Keep*Elara watched as Kael and the others prepared to depart from the Keep's main entrance. She had already tried reasoning with her husband, but he had been rather firm about leaving her behind. Apparently, the safety of their unborn pups mattered more than her desire to personally deal with the warriors who had nearly killed Seth. She still couldn't believe he had told her to stay behind and sit pretty, as if she were some delicate maiden who couldn't even defend herself!‘Well, if Kael thought I would simply remain in the keep while they went off to confront the enemy, he was sorely mistaken,’ she mused.Elara had already come up with a plan.“Are you certain you are not angry with me, Elara?” Kael asked, approaching her.Elara looked up at him and offered her sweetest smile. “Of course not, my love. You only wish for me and your pups to be safe.”“Good.” Kael gently pinched her cheek. “I expect you to remain in Frostfang until we return. And do check on our g

~ Elara ~*Frostfang Keep*Isolde let out a sigh of relief. “Thank the Goddess. I thought there was something else I needed to weep over.”Cedric, however, was still troubled by the prospect of bringing twenty pups into this realm.Seth was struggling to hold back his laughter. He couldn't, for the life of him, imagine his commander raising so many children. As for Kael, Ilias, and even the Moonborn Healer, they kept their mouths shut. Ilias, especially, knew better than to challenge Elara over Cedric's quota. Otherwise, he might be the one made to bear twenty pups.“Truthfully, there is still a serious matter I need to reveal,” Elara said, glancing between Isolde and Cedric.“What is it this time, Elara?” Cedric asked with a frown. “I believe you have already given me the worst revelations.”Elara lowered her gaze. “Remember when I told you that Northhaven attacked Asteria, and Kael and I died at the same time? Well, before that happened, I fought a high-ranking commander of Northhav

~ Elara ~*Frostfang Keep*“Why?” “Moon Goddess, I beg you to answer me!”Elara chased after her brother. When she saw him kneeling in the snow, questioning the skies, she cried. She immediately threw herself at Cedric, embracing him from behind. It wasn’t like Cedric to be emotional, but who could blame him? Not after learning that the families slaughtered in Embre were their ancestors.“Elara,” he called. “Why did you keep this from me?”She cried harder, embracing her brother tighter. “I did not know how to tell you.”“At first, I thought I’d prove it to you with all the changes I intended to make,” she said, sniffing. “Then, I’d tell you.”“And about our mother’s lineage, it wasn’t clear to me then,” Elara explained. “I only suspected that I was a Fireblood. It wasn’t until I met Celia and the Moonborn that I had clarity.”Finally, Cedric turned to her. He embraced her again and caressed her head. “Elara, I should have known. I should have known something was amiss the moment you

~ Kael ~*Frostfang, Northern Border*“Your prisoner escaped, and you have come all this way to make him my problem? How thoughtful of you, Commander,” Kael said, scoffing. “By all means, search the Whispering Forest. Search every tree, every cave, and every bush. Just don't expect me to hold your hand while you do it.”“Why you… I was merely asking if you have come across our prisoner!” the commander snapped. “You didn’t have to be so condescending about it.”“Condescending?” Kael raised a brow. “I was merely pointing out the obvious. Your prisoner is missing, Commander. Surely finding him is your responsibility?”He motioned to the Whispering Forest. “Go ahead and search for your prisoner!”Seeing the Northhaven warriors step back, he smirked. “Even your strongest warriors fear those trees. Imagine what a lowly prisoner must feel.”“No one from Northhaven has crossed our borders. Every warrior in my territory knows that any Northhavener foolish enough to trespass is to be killed on s

  • Reborn To Rekindle The Flame   Chapter 133: Elara’s Urgent Revelation

~ Elara ~*Frostfang*“Good sir, you may be troubled with thoughts of your family… your wife, perhaps, or your children. I understand if that is why you wish to return to Northhaven, but you are not yet well enough to travel. I daresay you would not make it a mile from here before falling to your knees. Rest and regain your strength first. Once you are well, you may leave.”After Elara informed Isolde of the man's intentions, she insisted that he at least remain until he was well enough to travel. The man stared at Isolde intently before looking down at his legs. They were still shaking. Elara could even see it from across the room.He gulped and said, “Okay.”He bowed before Isolde. “Thank you, My Lady.”The stranger also turned to Elara. “Thank you, My Lady.”“Ruth, Gwen, let’s help clean his bed so he can return to resting,” Isolde called to the maids in charge of the house.Moments later, Elara and Isolde left the house, but they still did not get the stranger’s name. They were at

~ Elara ~*Frostfang*“Hello,” Elara said. “My name is Elara. My husband and I saved you in the Whispering Forest.”It was the first time Elara had seen the man's eyes clearly. They were a pale shade of green, but what struck her most was the pain reflected in them. There was so much sorrow and disbelief in his gaze, as though he still could not fathom that he was alive or… free.He swallowed hard, drawing in one shaky breath after another. His cracked lips trembled, and his eyes glistened with unshed tears. His body remained terribly weak. He was painfully thin, his long silver hair hanging loosely around his gaunt face. He looked like a man who had endured far more suffering than anyone should ever have to bear. The man appeared to be in his late fifties, though Elara could not be certain. His frail condition might have made him seem older than he truly was. Besides, she had heard that pure-blooded Northhaveners were known for their silver hair, a distinctive trait of their bloodline
