Amelia immediately picked up her cup. "You flatter me, Mr. Spencer."

Lincoln gave her a friendly smile. "You don't need to be so humble."

They didn't chat for long as Lincoln had other appointments and left early.

After he left, Jasper looked at the door with furrowed brows. "He seemed a tad too eager to me. It's quite strange."

A keen businessman like him would always suspect a trap when someone was overly kind to him.

Amelia heard his suspicions and stood up, saying with a smile, "Don't you always praise him for having a stellar reputation in the industry? You hardly have anything bad to say about his personality, either. If he's malicious, why would he have extended a helping hand to Nova Nine at our lowest?"

Lincoln had invested in Nova Nine despite not seeing any obvious accomplishments and without asking for anything in return.

Even Jasper didn't expect Lincoln to be so generous with their investment. His company even provided them with materials.
