"Cecilia, something happened to Lukas!"

I, Cecilia Armstrong, hadn't even recovered from the pain of the crash when an Omega maid barged into my room. She seemed pale in the face.

Lowering my head, I saw flashes of my pup from my previous life. A silver bullet pierced his chest while he screamed in my arms.

"Lukas says his whole body feels burning hot, and his mind's all fuzzy. I already helped him back to his room to rest," the maid whispered. "Cecilia, why don't you go check on him?"

My steps halted, and my palms felt sweaty.

I had actually been reborn, and it was the very day Lukas Edmonton went into heat.

"I'm not going. Bring Isabella here instead," I instructed softly.

The maid froze. "What?"

"Stop wasting time. Lukas is probably in heat." My expression turned cold. "Go get Isabella. Now."

The maid stared at me in complete shock. She was stunned for a while.

I glanced at her stunned face and said impatiently, "Didn't you hear me? Go. Right now."

My cold tone startled her badly enough that she shivered. Too afraid to ask more questions, she hurriedly turned around and ran out.

Leaning against the doorframe, I finally let out a sigh of relief. My fingertips still trembled uncontrollably from the memories.

In my previous life, Lukas had once saved me from a rogue attack.

Because of that, I ignored my parents' objections, concealed my true identity, and willingly stayed in the Northera Pack as the Alpha's housekeeper just so I could stay close to Lukas.

This event happened exactly the same way in my previous life. The maid came to find me, and I hurried over to take care of Lukas during his heat. In the end, I was marked by him while half out of my mind.

After that night, I found myself with pup.

I thought it was the Moon Goddess helping me be with the werewolf I loved, so I eagerly revealed my identity and confessed to him. Eventually, Lukas and I held our marking ceremony because of the pup.

I thought our marking ceremony was the beginning of our love story, but it turned out to be the beginning of Lukas torturing me.

He believed that night had all been my scheme. He thought I'd ruined his relationship with Isabella Lancaster and driven her to suicide from heartbreak.

After our marking ceremony, he spent every night outside with other shewolves. Even when I nearly died giving birth, he never once stepped foot in the healer's den to see me.

Closing my eyes, I forced myself back to the present and headed toward the basement.

That place was forbidden to outsiders. It was the Alpha's private territory.

What Lukas never knew was that he wasn't the only one in heat that night. His father, Cain Edmonton, Alpha of the Northera Pack, had been in heat too.

I pushed open the heavy oak-and-iron door at the end of the hallway. The damp heat immediately blew against my face.

Cain sat against the edge of a stone bathtub. His hair was drenched, and his brows were tightly furrowed. His shirt, which was half open, clung to his muscular chest.

"You're in heat, Alpha," I said calmly. "You need me."

His gaze turned dangerous as he looked at me. His voice sounded dry and hoarse when he spoke. "Get out. You shouldn't be here."

Rumors claimed Cain was infertile and couldn't get shewolves to have his pups, but he had never publicly responded to those rumors. Only later did I learn someone had spread them deliberately.

In my previous life, Cain never had pups of his own. Lukas was merely his adopted son.

To this day, Lukas remained his sole heir in the Northera Pack.

But what if I became pregnant with Cain's pup tonight?

Among werewolves, my body was considered extraordinarily fertile. That was why I'd been with pup after a single night of mating in my previous life.

Before Cain could refuse, I stripped off my clothes and jumped straight into the bathtub. I was answering him with actions instead of words.

The next second, he shot to his feet, and water splashed everywhere.
