(Elena’s POV)

The city glittered beneath the balcony like it was holding its breath with me.

From this height, everything looked harmless golden lights, sleek towers, polished streets but I knew better. I had lived once already through what beauty could hide. I had died because I trusted the wrong smile, the wrong promise, the wrong future.

This time, I stood here alive, breathing, and painfully aware of how much I had to lose.

Alexander was behind me. I didn’t have to turn to know it. His presence had always been like that—quiet, grounding, impossible to ignore. I felt him before I saw him, the way my pulse shifted, the way my shoulders relaxed even when my thoughts refused to.

“You’re thinking too loudly again,” he said softly.

I smiled despite myself. “You always say that.”

“That’s because it’s always true.”

I turned then, meeting his eyes. The city lights reflected in them, sharp and brilliant, but beneath that was something warmer. Something dangerous.

Love.

  • Reborn as The Billionaire's Wife   The Truth That Changes Everything

Elena’s POVThe silence after Alexander’s words felt heavier than any storm.“We didn’t just meet in this life,” he said quietly. “I knew you before you died.”My breath caught. The room the private study in the Knight coastal estate seemed to tilt. Floor-to-ceiling windows framed the restless ocean, waves crashing like they were trying to warn me of something I wasn’t ready to hear.“What do you mean… before?” I asked, though some instinct deep inside me already knew this wasn’t going to be simple.Alexander stepped closer, his expression stripped of the billionaire composure the world feared. Right now, he looked like a man standing at the edge of a confession that could shatter everything.“In your first life,” he said, voice low, “you saved me.”I frowned. “That’s impossible. I don’t remember”“Because you never knew who I was.”The words landed softly, but their weight was devastating.Alexander turned away, resting his hands on the back of a chair as if grounding himself. “Ten y

  • Reborn as The Billionaire's Wife   What We Choose to Keep

Elena DawsonI learned something important the night everything finally went quiet.Silence is never empty. It’s full of echoes. The city lay beneath the penthouse windows, glittering and indifferent, as if it hadn’t just witnessed the collapse of empires and the exposure of lies that had spanned decades. From this height, everything looked small too small to have once terrified me.Alexander stood a few steps away, his jacket draped over the back of a chair, his white shirt rumpled from a day that had changed history. My history. Ours. The Knight Group board had voted unanimously.Richard Hale was finished. Not disgraced quietly. Not allowed to vanish with golden parachutes and polite headlines. No Alexander had made sure the truth was sharp, undeniable, and public. Fraud. Manipulation. Covert ownership webs. The secret funding of Project Rebirth. Every shadow dragged into the light. And yet, as the adrenaline drained from my veins, all I felt was… heavy.“You’re not shaking,” Alexan

  • Reborn as The Billionaire's Wife   The Price of Forever

(Elena’s POV)The city looked different from the top floor of the Knight Tower. Not because the skyline had changed steel and glass still cut into the night like sharpened promises but because I had.Once, I’d stood in places like this feeling small. A guest in a world ruled by men with power, money, and smiles sharp enough to draw blood. Once, I believed survival meant bending. Enduring. Loving quietly. Now, the city felt like something I could hold in my palm. The floor-to-ceiling windows reflected a woman I barely recognized from my first life. My posture was straight, my gaze steady, my heartbeat calm in the way it only became after you’d walked through fire and lived.Tonight wasn’t about revenge. It was about closure.Behind me, the doors opened softly.I didn’t turn.I knew Alexander’s footsteps the way I knew my own breath measured, controlled, always moving toward me like gravity had decided I was its center.“You’re quiet,” he said gently.“I’m listening,” I replied.“To wha

  • Reborn as The Billionaire's Wife   When the World Holds Its Breath

(Elena’s POV)The city looked different from this height. Not softer. Not kinder. Just… quieter. As if it knew something monumental was about to happen and had decided, for once, to stay still.I stood beside the floor-to-ceiling glass of Alexander’s office, my reflection faint against the night skyline. The lights below shimmered like a thousand unslept dreams, and for the first time since my rebirth, I felt the weight of everything pressing gently but firmly against my chest.Tomorrow, everything would change.“Are you running away in your head again?”His voice came from behind me, low and familiar, grounding. I didn’t turn immediately. I smiled instead, letting the sound of him steady me.“Maybe,” I admitted. “Or maybe I’m just trying to remember how it felt the first time I stood at the edge of losing everything.”Alexander’s footsteps stopped behind me. I felt his presence before I felt his hands warm, firm, sliding around my waist as he rested his chin lightly against my should

  • Reborn as The Billionaire's Wife   The Promise After the Storm

Elena’s POVThe rain had finally stopped. For the first time in what felt like forever, the city outside the penthouse windows lay quiet, washed clean and glowing under the silver hush of dawn. I stood barefoot on the cold marble floor, my arms wrapped around myself, watching the horizon bleed from charcoal gray into pale gold.We had survived. That truth still felt fragile in my chest, like a glass ornament I was afraid to touch too hard.Behind me, I felt him before I heard him. Alexander Knight had a presence that never needed sound. Warmth brushed my back as his arms slid around my waist, solid and steady, anchoring me to the moment.“You didn’t sleep,” he murmured, his voice low and rough with exhaustion.“I did,” I lied softly. “Just… not much.”His chin rested on my shoulder. Through the glass, our reflections overlapped his dark, commanding silhouette curved protectively around mine. Once, that image would have terrified me. Power had always come with a price. But with Alexand

  • Reborn as The Billionaire's Wife   The Vow Beneath the Stars

(Elena’s POV)The night air on the terrace tasted like rain and city lights sharp, electric, alive. Below us, the metropolis stretched endlessly, glass towers glittering like a constellation someone had carefully arranged just for us. For a moment, I wondered if this was how fate looked when it finally stopped trying to kill me.Alexander stood beside me, jacket discarded, sleeves rolled to his elbows. The wind teased his dark hair, and the city reflected in his eyes steel and fire, softened by something that had nothing to do with power.Love.“I used to come up here alone,” he said quietly. “When the board got vicious. When everything felt like a war.”I turned to him. “And now?”He faced me fully, his expression open in a way that still startled me after everything we’d survived. “Now it feels like home.”The word landed deep in my chest.Home.In my first life, that word had been fragile. Temporary. Something I lost piece by piece my parents’ trust, my future, my dignity until the
