[Location: Bella's apartment]
“Bella…where are you?” Sherry went inside the room without knocking. They were best friend after all and knew about each other’s pass code to their apartments.
Getting no response she decided to go inside her bedroom. Today Sherry had to do a serious talk with her.
But there was no sign of anything and anyone. ‘Is she out?’ She thought as she looked around the room.
Some sounds came from the washroom. Thinking she was probably bathing she decided to go and call her from there.
But as she was about to knock the door, the door was pulled open from inside and along with Bella’s voice she could hear a man’s voice.
‘Shit….They were making out.’ Sherry felt an inexplicable embarrassment when she realized she might be disturbing their privacy.
Finding no other solution she dived into a closet and waited for them to pass from the bathroom. No matter how angry she was with Bella she still knew she had to respect her and the man who she assumed to be her boyfriend’s private life.
‘Damn…why here?’ She once again scolded herself for being a klutz and dummy and hiding in the closet from here she could see everything.
She was about to close her eyes when from the corner of her eyes she saw a familiar back. A doubt rose in her heart but waved it off.
“No way…that can’t be..stupid.” She scolded herself but the voice she heard confirmed her suspicion.
“Babe..Lie down.” A husky and manly voice orderd the woman in his arms.
That voice was something she had always listened to her entire life, the moment she fell in love with that man, her lover and Fiancé.

[Two hour ago]
[Location: Sherry's house]
“What….what in the holy world happened just now?” Sherry got up from her bed sweating. She was clutching her quilt and her body was shaking.
Was it a dream? She questioned herself. It was not. Sherry was sure of it. She looked at the calendar on the table beside her bed.
In big black letters the day and date was written.
“13th February 2021”
It was the day before her marriage on 14th February. But she was in her wedding dress just a moment ago.
“But…I was about to marry Chris…” She clutched her head as she remembered about the incident before her marriage.
She was wearing make ups and her best friend and also the bridesmaid for her marriage was helping her up.
“Bella..when is the your date for delivery?” Applying a foundation she asked Bella who was doing her hair.
“It’s tomorrow or today..” She replied with a smile caressing her belly.
Pouting Sherry looked at her face. “Come on tell me who is your lover…You are even pregnant with his child…” But Bella just gave a slight chuckle.
“First let’s get you married and then I will tell.” Bella replied combing her hair.
‘If you are alive to get married that is.’ Bella who was smiling had a menacing look on her face for a brief second.
Her phone lit up with a notification. She looked at the unknown ID.
“Do it..everything is ready.”
“Sherry, my stomach hurts. Can you go and bring me my drink?” Acting as if in pain she pleaded with Sherry.
Horrified that something might happen, Sherry went to the kitchen to make an energy drink for her although she was supposed to be getting ready for her wedding.
She returned back after around 5 minutes in a hurry.
“Here…” She handed the drink and went to massage her belly carefully.
“Is it better now?” She asked worried.
“Hmm…why are you worrying about me? Stupid idiot!” She gave her a flicker on her head. Bell held out a glass of water.
“Here…hydrate yourself. You need to keep that energy going hmm??” A smile flashed across her smile but Sherry was an idiot and a dumb girl who could not see the malice hidden behind her kind action.
"Thank you Bella...you are the best." Sherry took hold of the glass.
Without thinking anything she chugged down the glass of water.
As soon as she had finished it she felt a little dizzy and before she knew it the world turned around by 360 degree, her stomach in agony.
What was happening she did not know but aura of death was already revolving around her.
“Bella…it hurts…it r-really hu-urts…” Choking on the blood in her mouth she struggled to speak. She coughed out a mouthful of blood. She could not understand why and how she was feeling this burning pain in her body.
“Bella…” She looked up at the girl who was looking at her like as if she was a bug with a disgusted expression.
Her expression was wrong. She was not worried or upset but Sherry could see the smug feeling of victory in her eyes.
“It’s time you leave us all Sherry…You have already spent much time in bliss and happiness.” Bella crouched down on the floor patting her head.
“Good bye Sherry.”
“W-What….” Before she could completely grasp what was happening she fetl her breathe getting shorter.
Her eyes darkened and with regret and queries in her heart Sherry died on the day of her wedding.
Why did she do that? That was the only question in her heart. She wanted to know the answer and as long as she was given a reasonable answer she would gladly accept to die.
No, I can’t die this way.. Sherry’s final wish was this before she went on her journey to the afterlife.
But as if hearing her wish she was given a second chance at life and now she was reborn a day before her marriage.
"This second chance....It must be given to me to make things right." Sherry thanked the god or who ever out there for hearing her last dying wish and paryers.
“I have to fix every thing and get the answer.” Sherry freshened up and went to her friend’s house in a hurry without informing her beforehand.
"Bella....I need answers." Sherry drove the car to an apartment in a busy and bustling part of the city.
.
.
And now she was inside the closet of the house trembling and tears flowing from her eyes when the bitter truth of her lover and her best friend cheating together on her came crashing down on her.
"God...Was I reborn just to see this?" Remorse, pain and hurt filled her heart.
“What do you mean by that?” Adannael’s voice cracked through the silence in the room. He could hardly believe what he had just heard. “You allowed those people to escape?” He sucked in a sharp breath and exhaled through his teeth. “Not once, but twice?”Sergeant Samuel, who had just finished relaying their current status, clenched his jaw until it hurt but said nothing.“And they even took a prisoner with them? Hah!” Adannael let out a harsh, humorless snort. His eyes narrowed as he looked at every personnel there in disdain. “And you dare claim you have the best prison security?”No one answered. Even if they were short on manpower, even if circumstances had been against them, the truth was undeniable. They had let their guard down.Adannael’s gaze shifted to the commander lying unconscious nearby and shook his head. Then, with a sudden movement, he rose to his feet.“This won’t do.” His voice was low. He turned his sharp stare on the Sergeant. “We have to report this incident to His
“Superior!” A soldier barged into the office, shouting as alarms blared throughout the building. “We are under attac–!”But he stopped mid-sentence when he saw her lying motionless on the floor, next to an empty chair. He immediately got alerted and quickly scanned the room. The intruder they had captured earlier was nowhere to be seen. He held the gun and slowly walked further inside when the open window drew his attention.“...no way,” he whispered, as he rushed towards the window and looked outside. But the evidence dangled there…a rope, dancing lazily against the wall outside.“Goddammit.” He scrubbed a hand over his face, muttering something harsher under his breath that didn’t really make it past his teeth. “Today’s just one disaster stacked on another.” He hurried back to Amelia and dropped into a squat beside her. He pressed his fingers against her throat and checked for a pulse. It was there.Relieved, he stood up and turned on his comms. “Reporting from the superior’s offic
“You killed the lieutenant, didn’t you?” The superior said as she brought the knife closer to his face one more time. However, seeing that Levian wasn’t willing to answer her, she drew the blade across his skin.“That’s the second cut.” She chuckled as she watched the small red droplets falling from the knife. The superior crouched in front of him again and smiled. “You’re breaking,” she whispered. “How long will you remain stubborn? Your body will betray you before you know it.”“Bring it on,” Levian said as he swallowed the bitterness that seemed to have clamped down hard on his throat. He had his plans to escape the prison, however, the drug was a little more powerful than he had assumed. He didn’t have much time to play around with the superior. After getting the answer he wanted, he had to leave right away. “Say,” Levian began, raising his head just a little. He locked his eyes onto hers and gave a cocky smile. “Aren’t you such a loyal dog to that man Aldrevon?”“Huh?” She narr
Back inside the superior’s office, the atmosphere was heavy with bloodlust. The superior stood before the large monitor on the wall, which flickered with footage from various corners of the prison.Under her command, all the soldiers were out, checking every nook and corner for the second intruder. ‘At least we got one of them.’ She thought as she turned around. Levian sat tied to a chair, wrists bound tight behind his back. She didn’t speak right away. Just stood there, watching him in silence, her arms folded loosely over her chest. Then, slowly, she walked over.“You’re still quiet.”She stopped in front of him, close enough that the chair creaked slightly as he shifted. Her eyes carefully looked over his face, taking in as much detail as she could. She leaned forward and raised her one hand, brushing the side of his face. Her fingers slid down from his temple to the edge of his jaw before settling near his throat.“If you talk now,” she said quietly, pressing her thumb against th
“Superior!” The soldier stationed on the second floor stiffened and saluted as a woman in a dark officer’s coat descended from the top floor. She was tall, built with lean muscle, and carried a leather whip coiled around her waist like a venomous snake.“Are you leaving now?” He asked. Her leaving the office meant only one thing—a visit to the basement cell. She gave him a sharp nod. “How are things this afternoon?” Her eyes swiftly swept across the corridor before settling back on him.“Everything’s fine for now,” the soldier replied. Just then, another soldier who had returned to his duty also approached them.“Good afternoon, Superior!” He saluted her. “Hnn.” She gave a slight nod, turned around, and walked to the stairs leading to the basement. “For some reason, the superior seems irritated today, doesn’t she?” the soldier who had just arrived whispered. The other soldier momentarily hesitated and called after her, “Superior?” “What about the soldiers you called in a while ago
Sherry inserted the key into the lock and twisted it. With a loud click, the lock opened.Inside, the two people huddled together froze at the sound of approaching footsteps. They scrambled to hide themselves in the shadows.Sherry crouched a few centimeters away from them and gently tapped one of them on the shoulder. “Uncle,” she whispered. “Aunt.”“This voice…”The man on the ground trembled. He abruptly raised his head and stared at the figure in front of him. He could barely make out her silhouette in the dim light of the basement.“Sh–Sherry?” he croaked, his voice dry and cracked.“Yes,” Sherry replied softly. “It’s me. I’m Sherry.”“Sherry?” It was her aunt this time. “Sherry Lona?” She raised her head and crawled forward, reaching out to touch the girl before her.It wasn’t an illusion. It really was her, alive, in the flesh.“Sherry… Sherry… Did you come to save us?” the aunt sobbed, clutching her tightly. “Please, child… take us away from this hell.”“Hell?” Sherry’s voice
