Aria’s POV

Inside, the chamber was dimly lit by a single torch mounted on the wall. Shadows clung to the corners like waiting predators.

And there he was.

A man, seated on a stool near the wall. His head was bowed, a black hood covering his face, his clothes dark, blending almost seamlessly into the darkness. His wrists were bound, his posture oddly relaxed, as though none of this bothered him in the least way.

For a heartbeat, I just stared at him, frozen.

Then I stepped forward, my voice tight but steady. “Who are you?”

I asked, but silence greeted me back.

“Who are you?” I repeated, my tone sharper this time. “What are you doing in this pack?”

The man didn’t move. His head stayed bowed, the hood completely hiding his face from me.

My skin prickled, “Can you hear me? Turn and face me.”

I barked, but still he said nothing.

I clenched my fists, forcing my tone to remain calm even as my pulse roared in my ears.

“I said, look at me!”

And then, slowly, deliberately, he lifted his head.

  • Reborn for the Lycan king    He is always around

Aria’s POV Everywhere was silent. My questions bounced off him like stones thrown into the void. His eyes locked onto mine, unblinking, unyielding, as if daring me to try harder.“Say something!” My voice rose without permission. My frustration boiled over, sharp and hot.But he only chuckled low, shaking his head slightly, the sound mocking in its quietness.I wanted to scream. To shake him. To break through whatever wall of silence he was hiding behind. But deep inside, I knew he was going to be a hard nut to crack. And right now, no matter how many questions I hurled at him, he wasn’t going to answer.I swallowed hard, forcing myself to step back. My voice was clipped, cold. “Keep a close eye on him,” I told Marv. “Double the airlocks. Make sure he doesn’t escape until he’s ready to talk.”“Yes, my lady,” Marv said, bowing his head.I turned sharply on my heel, my chest still heavy with the weight of unanswered questions. The sound of the intruder’s quiet laugh followed me out, e

  • Reborn for the Lycan king    The intruder has been caught!

Aria’s POV “Lady Aria.”I turned, startled. Elder Hamon was standing there, his wrinkled face half-shadowed by the torchlight on the corridor walls. His posture was stiff, and there was something in his eyes; something weighty, that made my stomach churn.“Yes, Elder?” My voice came out sharper than I intended, impatience laced with the worry I was trying to bury deep inside. He stepped closer, lowering his tone, as if afraid someone else might overhear. “The Betas found an intruder last night inside the pack grounds.”I froze, my blood turning cold.“What?” I yelled, the word tumbling out before I could catch it.“They captured him and he is in their custody now,” Hamon continued, his lined face unreadable. “We thought that you might want to see him yourself. Perhaps you can identify him.”For a moment, I could only stare at him. My mind spun, colliding with fragments of memory, the shadowy figure outside my father’s chambers, the fleeting silhouette in the woods, and my throa

  • Reborn for the Lycan king    He dropped a banger news!!

Aria’s POV Lowell nodded, then turned toward me once more and bowed deeply. “My lady.”I shifted uncomfortably, murmuring something that barely passed for acknowledgment. His eyes flicked between us, then he was gone, retreating into the exit as silently as he’d come. The air in the car was different now, somewhat heavier.I studied Eros out of the corner of my eye. His face was composed again, but I wasn’t fooled. His countenance had changed the moment Lowell appeared, and it hadn’t returned to what it was before.“What was that about?” I asked finally, unsure if he’d answer. His gaze stayed fixed on the road as he started the car. “Nothing for you to worry about.”“That’s not an answer.” My jaw clenched. He smirked faintly, but it didn’t reach his eyes. “You’ll think that I rarely give you answers, Aria. But it’s for the best, at least for now.”I glared, but he didn’t budge, and frustration knotted in my chest. Still, something in his expression told me pressing further would be

  • Reborn for the Lycan king    A sudden guest

Aria’s POV He said as though he was waiting for my response before he responded to the other person at the receiving end of the call. “Meeting someone?” My voice sharpened, suspicion instantly rising. “Who?”His mouth curved faintly, but he didn’t answer directly. “Do you mind?”I narrowed my eyes, studying him. The way he looked at me was steady, unflinching, daring me to push further. Finally, I huffed and crossed my arms. “No. I don’t mind. But if someone tries anything stupid, don’t expect me to sit quietly and smile.”He chuckled under his breath, as if amused by my threat, then responded to the person and ended the call. We walked into the restaurant together, and, as always, he drew every eye in the room. It wasn’t just that he was the Lycan King, it was the way he carried himself, confident and untouchable. He reached the door first, holding it open for me like it was the most natural thing in the world. My chest tightened a little, though I masked it quickly, stepping past

  • Reborn for the Lycan king    I have something to show you

Aria’s POV I flinched, twisting my head, only to see a monkey perched on a tree branch above us. Its beady eyes were wide, its tiny hands clutching the bark as it leaned forward, watching us as if we were its entertainment for the day. The little beast let out another squeak, then slapped its palm against the wood like it was clapping.I pulled back slightly, wiping quickly at my cheeks, embarrassed. “What in the world..."Eros followed my gaze, and when his eyes landed on the monkey, his lips twitched. He tried to hold it back, tried to keep his kingly composure, but a low laugh escaped him. “Of course, finally! The great Lycan King finally shows weakness, and the only witness is you…and a damn monkey.”Despite myself, a small laugh bubbled out of me. The sound felt strange, like it had been buried in me for long. I shook my head, looking at him, and he caught the moment, caught me, and smirked. But then his face shifted, his voice lowering, almost serious again. “You know…no
