The next day came in the blink of an eye. Katherine took a shower and joined a pack members during breakfast. It was a challenging experience as she could not miss the fact some of them were looking at her with pity. Rumors spread across the pack with the speed of light. The omegas assigned to clean bedrooms had to notice he was not sleeping there anymore. Katherine also did not hide the fact. She was not in the wrong here; she did not need to feel ashamed.

Luna acted as if nothing had happened and enjoyed her food. After the breakfast filled with an awkward silence, she returned to her room to get her suitcase. Last night, she covered everything with Rachel to ensure her friend would cover for her.

Katherine went downstairs, and to her shock, her husband was waiting for her. In the past, that would be his usual behavior, but now Luna was surprised to see him here.
