After having my cry on Hikaru's shoulder I contacted Juan and let him know that the procedure would take place ASAP. He didn't waste any time getting everything set up to take my father into surgery.

Luckily Joann had already made sure everything was the way that Hikaru liked his O.R. She agreed with me the room I picked was the one where Hikaru would feel the most comfortable.

I made sure to text all the neurosurgeons on staff to let them know the procedure was taking place so they could watch it and learn from Hikaru. Unlike most hospitals that only had observation rooms in certain O.R.'s, we had one in all O.R.'s.

The only difference was if the lead doctor, as well as the patient, didn't want anyone observing we just locked the observation room. I walked in as Joann was explaining the procedure to the family.
