Masuk"Oo hello, where?" Caleb exclaimed when he saw Cass going towards the bar counter. "I'm not interested in this stupid meeting," Cass replied and settled down on the high chair. They were present in one of the most high-profile nightclubs.
"Sometimes I feel that I'm the boss and you are my useless employee," Caleb muttered, and in return, he got a death glare from Cassian. "You want to die with my left hand or right hand?" Cassian spat. "No, thank you. I'm okay with being alive," Caleb's sassy reply came, and Cass raised the glass to throw at his face. "See you after the meeting," Caleb replied and flew away from there. "Bastard," Cass murmured under his breath and got busy enjoying his drink. While enjoying, he looked around and found some people dancing, some over-drinking, some trying to flirt, and a few not giving heed to others. Overall, every kind of person was present in this place indicating the typical nightclub scene. He was sitting calmly when he felt a hand on his shoulder. "Can I have a drink with you?" The words fell in his ear, and he turned his face to find a woman standing there, trying her best to give him the most sultry smile. He eyed the woman from head to toe and wondered if he was sitting in a nightclub or some prostitution ring. It's not a big deal for him to see women in nightclubs with almost no clothes, but the woman in front of him indicated that she was definitely in the business of prostitution. Gulping the remaining drink in one go, he put the glass on the counter with a thud. "No," he spat and left. "I'm going," Caleb, who was busy in the meeting, got Cassian's message. "She must be sleeping," Caleb replied. "So?" came the instant reply. "Stalkers should also know when to give privacy," Caleb replied. "Fuck off," Cass replied. "No, sorry. I'm a straight guy," Caleb replied. "I haven't emptied my gun in a long time," Cass replied. "It's good because bullets are too expensive nowadays," Caleb replied. "You are fired," Cass replied. "Wow, finally. Can I go now?" Caleb replied. "Wait till your grave gets ready," Cass replied and went offline. Caleb chuckled but straightened immediately when he realized his surroundings. Cassian entered Hailey's room and found her sleeping on the couch with a laptop beside her. Today was the day after they had sent Abria back. In the morning, when she woke up, she was adamant that she was fine and wanted to go, but the doctor, under Caleb's instructions (which were Cassian's instructions), didn't allow her to travel. Caleb knew that if her frustration increased again, she might punch him twice this time. So, he asked Cassian to at least allow her to use the laptop, as this would keep her calm. Caleb sighed with relief when Hailey agreed, and he immediately arranged a laptop for her. From the morning, she had been working and sometimes doing video calls with Abria regarding office matters. Cassian came to his senses when her cell phone started ringing. He immediately went towards the balcony and hid in the corner. Hailey's room balcony was very large, and she didn't even realize that her balcony was attached to the other room. She always came to the balcony in the evening or at night and usually stood in one spot. Yesterday he went from the balcony side of the other room. Inside the room, Hailey woke up to the ringing of her cell phone. She rubbed her eyes and picked it up. It was Abria's call. Yawning a little, she got up from the couch and answered the call. "Yes, Abria," Hailey asked. "Ma'am, sorry to disturb you at this time, but it's urgent," Abria's worried voice came from the other side. "What happened?" Hailey asked as she walked towards the balcony. "Ma'am, I just got a call from your chef. Someone tried to break into your penthouse. Luckily, he was able to press the alarm, but they managed to break the lock on your main door. I've already informed Jacob (Abria's boyfriend), and he is there now," Abria said. "Is Jack safe?" Hailey's primary concern was the safety of her chef, who also took care of her penthouse. Cassian, who was fuming in anger as he could hear Abria's voice clearly, smiled a little on hearing her question. On the other side, Abria, who was worried, also smiled after hearing about her exceptional boss. "Yes, ma'am, he is fine," Abria informed. "Okay, ask Jacob to call me when he has time," Hailey replied and ended the call. She set her cell phone aside and took a deep breath. She placed her hands on the railing and started gazing, as always, at a lone corner. Suddenly, she hissed because she had gripped the railing too tightly again. "Shit," she murmured, jerking her hand because of the pain. Suddenly, someone from behind held her hand, and she felt hot breath on her face. "This happens when you stress yourself. The veins in your hand stretch," Cassian said softly while pressing her hand. His other hand was around her waist, holding her firmly. "You...," Hailey tried to say as she attempted to turn around, but Cassian intertwined his hands with hers and held her tightly, keeping her hands on her waist. Both of his arms encircled her waist, with her hands entwined with his. "Who are you?" Hailey said, trying to wriggle in his arms. "Shh," Cassian whispered in her ear, resting his chin on her shoulder. "I'll scream," Hailey said, but her voice came out as a whisper because Cassian had started caressing her cheek with his nose. "Who is stopping you?" Cassian asked, continuing to caress her cheek. "Leave me," Hailey said after a while, trying to break free from his grip. But Cassian kissed her cheek firmly, tightening his hold around her. "Stop struggling, Rose. You can't win over me," Cassian exclaimed and gave a chaste kiss on the same area of her neck where he had bitten her before. He left her, and as usual, before Hailey could see him, he vanished. This time also, he left from the balcony of the other room. Which Hailey as always didn't check or notice. "Aargh, I'll kill you!" Hailey yelled. "And I'm not Rose!" she said, gritting her teeth and storming inside the room. She knew she wouldn't be able to find him again, so she decided to do the opposite and booked her tickets for tomorrow. "If Caleb tries to stop me again, I'll punch him thrice," she muttered angrily and went to use the washroom. Cassian, who had heard her yelling, chuckled and left from there. To be continued...
As the car rolled smoothly down the road, Caleb, who had been silently contemplating the earlier conversation, suddenly turned his attention to Hailey with a playful grin. "Angry Bird, you asked Cassian about the girlfriend thing. So, haveyouever had a boyfriend?" he teased, raising an eyebrow.Cassian, who had been absentmindedly playing with Hailey's hair, perked up at Caleb's question, his gaze now filled with curiosity. "Yeah, Sweetie," Alex chimed in from the front. "You were only 15 when I left. So how many boys have been brave enough to approach you?"Hailey chuckled softly but didn't answer immediately. She glanced at Cassian, locking eyes with him for a brief second before turning her gaze toward the window, staring out into the night. "Cassian was my first kiss," she admitted quietly, her voice steady yet thoughtful. "It's not that I wasn't approached. Plenty of boys used to send me proposals or ask me out, either directly or through thei
"Shall we head back?" Alex asked, looking at Hailey with a smile."Yup," Hailey nodded, still a little flushed from the excitement of the race. They made their way out of the park toward the car, the night air cool and refreshing. Hailey walked beside Cassian, her hand comfortably tucked into his. Suddenly, she tugged him down, catching him by surprise, and pressed a firm, playful kiss on his cheek.Cassian chuckled, tilting his head toward her. "What was that for?"Hailey smiled innocently. "Nothing just felt like it."He shook his head, a soft smile playing on his lips as he pulled her closer, wrapping an arm around her in a side embrace. They continued walking toward the car, her small bursts of affection warming his heart.Unbeknownst to them, a car parked a little way off had been watching them closely. The window slowly rolled down, revealing Maxwell Lockhood inside. His eyes were dark, filled with growing jealousy as he watched the co
"Dessert?" Caleb asked."We'll get ice cream from the nearby parlor, it's within walking distance," Hailey suggested, and everyone agreed. After paying the bill, they headed out, walking toward the ice cream parlor."Rose, wear your jacket," Cassian exclaimed and made her wear the jacket."Park?" Hailey exclaimed, pointing toward a nearby park."Sure," Cassian replied, and the group made their way there while enjoying their ice creams.Cassian and Alex walked behind, while Caleb and Hailey were ahead of them. Hailey, grinning widely, climbed up onto a small sidewall and began walking along it."Now you can say you're taller than us," Caleb teased.Hailey stuck her tongue out at him as she finished her ice cream. Caleb held her hand lightly to keep her from losing balance.Meanwhile, behind them, Alex spoke in a low tone to Cassian. "Things are getting messier. I've got a feeling Zuri's planning something big."Cassian, k
Meanwhile, outside, Caleb turned back to face Mark and Oliver. His usual playful demeanor had hardened slightly, but he kept things casual."You two really should back off," he began, keeping his tone light. "She's not the type to entertain your kind."Mark and Oliver exchanged a glance before Mark smirked. "Come on, man, we're just having a little fun. We could show her a good time, maybe even spend the night."Oliver chuckled in agreement, making Caleb's jaw tighten. But instead of snapping, he leaned in closer, his voice dangerously calm."If you love your lives," Caleb said, his voice dropping low, "you'll step back. Because I promise, even your parents won't know where you disappeared to if you keep this up."Mark and Oliver blinked in surprise, clearly not expecting the intensity behind Caleb's words. But instead of showing fear, they forced a laugh, trying to brush it off."Alright, alright," Mark said, waving a hand dismissively. "No
They stepped into the hall and found Alex and Caleb already ready."Shall we leave?" Alex asked, his gaze landing on them."Yup!" Hailey exclaimed, her excitement palpable as they all four made their way out of the penthouse."Angry Bird, you're looking like a golden witch!" Caleb teased, a playful grin on his face.Hailey shot him a glare, tossing her hair back with a little jerk. "You're just jealous; I know my hair looks beautiful," she said, admiring her reflection in the lift's mirror, savoring her self-praise.Alex and Cassian chuckled, and Caleb stood behind her, sticking his tongue out playfully.Once exited the lift, they headed towards Hailey's car, which Lucas had already brought from Fiona's house."Yeah, beautiful dwarf," Caleb whispered again, a mischievous glint in his eyes."Hey, I'm not a dwarf! You guys are just giants!" she retorted with a mock-serious expression, glancing up at the tall frames of Cassian, Ca
Evening time:-Cassian came inside the room and found her standing in front of the dressing table and curling her hair. She was standing in a towel. "I'll take a shower," Cassian said. "Okay, I'll take out your clothes," Hailey said and Cassian went to take a shower.Hailey curled her hair and set it. In the meantime, Cassian came out while rubbing his hair with a towel. "Give me a minute," Hailey said while picking up the lipstick and coated her lips."This lipstick color is good?" she asked Cassian who was now checking his phone. He looked at her and found her looking in the mirror while pouting her lips.He smirked and came near her and turned her around. She looked at him with a raised eyebrow. Cassian bent a little a captured her lips in his. "Umm," she tried to push but he deepened the kiss."Cassian," she whined when he broke the kiss and she looked at the mirror. Her psychopath literary ate her entire lipstick. "Lipstick wa
Cassian's fury was palpable, his voice thunderous as he paced in front of Hailey. "You told Lucas you were going to your friend's place! Then why the hell did I find you in that pub? Did you lie to him?" he barked, his words dripping with anger.Hailey shook her head frantically, her voice
Cassian walked out of the meeting hall, his mind swirling with business matters. By next week, all the formalities regarding Hailey's company acquisition by Alex will be finalized. He headed to Hailey's old cabin, where he had been temporarily working, and settled into the chair with a deep sigh.
Hailey reached over, placing her other hand over his. "You're incredibly brave, Cassian. I can't imagine going through that."Cassian smiled, though it was tinged with sadness. "It was hell, but it made me who I am today. Stronger, more determined. I promised myself that if I survived, I'd

After slipping into some comfortable home clothes, she decided to prepare dinner. Once that was done, she checked her bag to g
