Chapter 9

Dennis was dressed casually in black jeans and a turtleneck. A pair of brown leather boots hugged his muscular legs.

"Are you okay?" Whispered Dennis. The panic written all over Shana's face gave Dennis the answer that he needed.

"They kidnapped you", stated Dennis while taking off his jacket. Then, he proceeded to untie Shana from the chair and pulled her on his lap.

"It's okay Shana. I'll protect you. It's alright", said Dennis while caressing Shana's cheek tenderly. Shana leaned into his hands instinctively.

"Thank you", whispered Shana with tears in her eyes. Dennis wiped her tears away gently and brought her forehead to his. His thumbs caressed Shana's cheeks soothingly while pressing his lips against hers briefly.

"I don't want to see you get hurt. Please let me save you Shana", whispered Dennis before pulling her in for another kiss. Their kiss didn't last long as the sound of running footsteps echoed in the hallway which caused the two of them to pull away slightly, panting heavily.

Two men entered their room, carrying boxes full of bottles of beer and snacks.

"Who are you?" Shouted the men.

"Who else but Romeo came to the rescue?" Answered another chubby man. They both laughed out loud.

"Face us first before you can take the woman away. We're not satisfied to play with her. We haven't even had time to taste her. She has a nice body. Her ass is very plump" the man said while biting his lower lip indicating he was passionate about Shana's body. Dennis who heard that was very angry. Deniss fights the kidnappers who kidnap Shana with all his might. He was lucky to have taken a self-defense class as a sign of preparation for his first movie. Unbeknownst to Dennis, two other kidnappers lurked behind him and hit him on the head.

PLAK !! PLAK !!

Twice a powerful blow hit his head making Dennis faint unconscious.

"DENNIS! DENNIS! PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME" Shana shouted, tears rolling down her cheeks.

"ENOUGH! Boss will be angry if her boyfriend is seriously injured. We were directed to kill this woman and not him." The muscular man prevented his other comrades from hitting Dennis for the third time.

"Boyfriend? Bethany is behind all this?" Shana asked surprised.

"Bethany? Who is that? We don't recognize her" replied the kidnapper.

Shana's eyes shot open and focused on the man in front of her.

The man smirked and took a step towards Shana, making his way to her. She screamed and began scratching at herself and punching the man in the chest repeatedly. The man did nothing about it, he just stared at Shana. His eyes were dark, giving off a dark aura. Suddenly he raised his arms and slammed them forcefully against the concrete wall, causing Shana to scream even louder, blood gushing out of her wounds.

"DENNIS!" Shana screamed. Dennis snapped back into reality at the sound of Shana's screams.

Dennis watched as Shana's body slumped in relief, falling backward and hitting the cold concrete floor. Dennis sighed softly and turned his head to look at the man who had hurt Shana. He turned his attention over to Shana whose body is bleeding profusely now. Her body was trembling and Dennis couldn't handle seeing her in pain. That bastard. He's gonna pay, I swear. Dennis thought to himself, watching Shana being beaten up by the man. He jumped forward angrily and kicked the other guy square between his jaw and kneecapped. Blood splattered everywhere, making Dennis feel disgusted. He kicked the guy again to make sure he was unconscious.

Suddenly there was a loud thud and Shana's body fell limp against the ground.

"No, no! No, please! Don't do that!", begged Shana weakly while shaking violently. Tears rolled down her cheeks. The huge man stopped beating Shana. Shana sobbed miserably.

She felt like she could die. She felt helpless, powerless, defenseless, and unable to do anything to defend herself. All she could do was scream for Dennis. She was so scared. Shana tried hard to stand up. But she was too weak and dizzy. She fell back down in tears.

Dennis immediately dashed to Shana's side. He picked her up in his arms and held her in his embrace, feeling so lost.

Not long before that, both of them saw Shana's father come to rescue them.

"Shana?! Where the fuck did those men go?!" Shana's father exclaimed angrily at the sight of his daughter lying helpless on the cold floor. Shana's father then noticed the bruises on Shana's body. He frowned angrily and looked around for the three thugs. There was none.

"I don't know dad. Who are these people? I heard they talked about not hurting Dennis as their boss will get angry", asked Shana quietly, fear evident in her voice.

"Shana, listen to daddy. You must never walk alone" pleaded Ward desperately. He didn't like that he had to force Shana to follow his orders. But his priority now is to save Shana. Shana was his only daughter. He loves her so much. He won't rest until Shana is safe and healthy in front of him.

"Daddy I'm sorry"

"Listen to me. We must stay calm. These men have already gone somewhere. It's gonna be alright", said Shana's father while wiping Shana's tears from her beautiful face. It's true. It's going to be fine. Everything will be fine, Shana. You will be safe in my arms. That's what her daddy is thinking.

Before Shana could answer, Shana collapsed on her husband's lap.

"Shana!! Please always be with me" cried, Dennis.

Dennis and Shana's father rush to send Shana to the hospital. Once there, Shana continued to be admitted to the operating room because Shana lost a lot of blood as a result of her stab wounds.
