Chapter 2 He Kissed Me!

"Shh! Don't say a word!" Elliot whispered. He pushed her further into the stall.

The small space had become even more cramped with one more person squeezed inside. They were in close proximity, breathing mere inches apart.

Sophia did not move. She blinked and examined the man in front of her.

He was tall, and the light on his face highlighted his deep and rugged features. He was a pretty handsome man.

But she had just been betrayed and was not in the mood to appreciate any kind of male presence.

They heard footsteps and a male voice from outside.

"Are you sure it's him? How could he have taken care of two bodyguards so quickly?"

Another voice replied, "I think so. He disappeared in the blink of an eye. I'll check the bathroom."

Sophia frowned. The voices outside were clearly not looking for her. Could they be looking for this man?

She laughed as she realized they were both in a similar situation.

But why was he hiding?

He was very handsome. Could he have somehow offended a customer at the nightclub?

But his imposing presence didn’t seem to fit that scenario. Could he be running from someone who was after him?

Would hiding with him put her in danger too?

She reached out to pry his hand away, wanting to clarify the situation.

But Elliot was growing impatient. He suddenly clamped both her hands above her head, and his expression darkened as he warned in a cold voice, "If you don't want to die, don't move!” he hissed.

Don’t move? What if she tried to do the same to him?

If he kept holding her like this, she’d be forced to do something drastic soon!

She tried to pry his hand away again, but he was incredibly strong. She couldn’t break free no matter how hard she struggled.

Suddenly, she heard footsteps approaching again, and the same male voice from earlier said, "Check the stalls."

Another man replied, "Okay."

The man started pulling the stall doors open one by one. Elliot and Sophia were in the last stall.

Elliot released her and used his eyes to signal her to say something. What could a woman be doing in a men's restroom stall? She could only be there for one reason.

But Sophia did not want to comply. He had nearly suffocated her when he covered her mouth, and he was only allowing her to speak now because he needed her to save him.

Why should she comply?

She refused to speak!

She just wasn’t going to make things worse. Wasn’t she already being generous?

Elliot thought she didn’t know what to say, so he leaned in close to her ear and said, "Just say that someone's in here."

Sophia's face remained cold and aloof. Did he really expect her to say something like that?

What did he want?

She was unmoved. Her gaze was cold and defiant as she looked at him.

Just then, someone forcefully pulled at the door of their stall. "Who's in there? Come out here!"

Elliot had realized what was going on. This woman did not want to cooperate with him. His eyes deepened, and he pinched her waist.

"Ah!"

Sophia was startled and cried out in pain. Angrily, she said, "What are you… Mmm..."

Before she could finish her sentence, a shadow fell over her, and the words she had not yet uttered were kissed back into her mouth by the man's lips.

Sophia did not believe what was happening

How dare this man kiss her?

It was absolutely infuriating!

She wanted to hit him. She didn’t care that he was being pursued by enemies.

But he seemed to have figured out what she was trying to do. He lifted her off the ground, and she instinctively clung to his neck.

He smiled triumphantly at her.

Sophia gasped, "You shameless... Mmm..."

Elliot kissed her again, sealing her talkative mouth. Then, he intentionally bumped her against the stall door with a thud.

The man who was trying to open the door outside jumped back in shock.

"Who's there? Come out here!"

As he said that, the door bumped again and started thumping rhythmically. Anyone who heard it would realize what was going on inside.
