The three of us paused.
Clairmont’s expression showed a hint of pure confusion after that. I don’t know if it was an acting or not. “…I don’t think my radar picked up any monster nearby.” He then turned to look at me.
Okay, so that wasn’t an acting. Your innocence is kind of cute right now, Clairmont, no lie. But we all know what that sound was. And given the situation, I think I know why Carter gave Clairmont that hungry look.
