“So, I want you to bathe him.” I said to Clairmont.

His usual judging look that he threw at me whenever I asked a ridiculous request was more intense at that time. He then passed his gaze between me and carter, who was sitting at the edge of his bed like a sad and dirty dog.

No, I mean, he was literally dirty. Dirt and blood could be seen dirtying his old and scraggy not-so-white anymore tunic, and his dirty blonde hair looked especially dirtier. I don’t know how hygiene law works for commoners here, but on earth, my mother would have thrown me a couple of her slippers at me if I were to not take a bath at least once a day. Except during cold seasons, of course. But being clean is a must.

Carter might not get the chance to clean himself because of all the events that happened during the day. Why if I hadn’t taken a bath myself after cooking dinner, I wouldn’t have realized the degree of filthiness on our main character here.
