(Asher’s POV)

My mother gasped.

“Has he ever been that beautiful?”

She said, and we continued to be in silence again.

Gradually, noise come back filling the hall. People continued to chatter, but I’m sure that the words of smite were less than the words of praise to the Baron, may it be his outfit or the different aura that he emmitted just now.

When the ceremony started, the main door opened and two figures stepped in. As expected, Louis was the one who escorted Avery into the hall. They both look beautiful, but unfortunately, tonight is the night where they will annul their engagement so wearing that beautiful outfit seemed like a waste.

The ceremony continued on. Why does it feel very long before the moment where they annul their engagement? I couldn’t seem to sit still.
