LOGINEVELYN POV
Wait, what? My mind was spinning as I tried to understand what he was saying. Confusion hit me hard, and it took a moment for the shocking truth to sink in. The guards opened the back door of the car with cold expressions while Alpha John hurried into the front seat. “No! This can't be happening!” I gasped as panic took over. I shook my head vigorously, fear flooding through me. “No! You can’t do this!” I shouted, struggling against the guards who held me tightly. I thrashed around, but each attempt to break free only made them hold on more firmly. No! There's no way he was going to force me into giving my kidney out to Diane! "Please, just leave me alone! You can't do this to me!" I cried, my voice shaking and tears streaming down my face. I felt desperate as I struggled against the guards' strong grip. I managed to break free with one arm, but their other hand held my other arm tightly. The guards glanced at each other, showing no sign of sympathy. “No! Please! I won't let you take my kidney! I won't!” I begged as they shoved me toward the back of the car. Panic rose in my throat, and everything felt like it was spinning. “What’s happening back there? We don’t have much time left!” Alpha John shouted from the front seat and I could see how much he cared for Diane while disregarding how I felt. I don’t even think he saw me as human. “Alpha stop this! I’m not just a spare part you can give away!” My pleas echoed, but John’s back was turned, focused on the road. Have I been living with a monster for two years? The answer was quite obvious. The guards tightened their grip, their fingers digging painfully into my wrists. I felt waves of pain and my vision started to blur as dizziness hit me. The car sped like a blur, and it felt like I was being pulled into chaos. Every bump in the road jolted me, making me feel even more helpless. I was being dragged into a situation I didn’t choose. As soon as we skidded to a stop at the hospital, the guards pulled me from the car like I was a useless rag doll. They shoved me sideways, holding on tightly as they rushed me through the entrance, ignoring my struggle to keep up. I was not wearing any shoes now, my face was an eyesore, my clothes were dirty and I knew I stank badly. I felt exposed and dizzy, my throat parched and craving even a drop of water. Would they at least let me put on some shoes before dragging me deeper into this nightmare? “Let me go!” I screamed, my voice echoing in the space, desperation pushing me to speak out. I didn’t care about the consequences anymore; I just needed to be heard. But I was brutally ignored. Everyone gave way for us and bowed for Alpha John as we passed without listening to me. They opened a door and the guards pushed me into the room. A female nurse in white scrubs stood by a bed, her eyes widening in urgency when she saw us. She rushed forward with open arms, urging us inside. “Take her to the bed and tie her up!” Alpha John shouted from the doorway. Before I could protest, the guards grabbed my arms, their grips like iron shackles, and pushed me toward the bed. My heart pounded with confusion and fear. I stumbled, my legs weak, but they didn’t let go. They forced me onto the bed while I struggled to escape. “Wait! You don’t have to do this! My life would be at risk here” I cried out but my protests echoed in the empty room, swallowed by the silence. Without a word, they grabbed a rope and started tying one of my wrists to the bed. The fabric dug into my skin, and I winced, tears welling in my eyes. “John, please,” I begged, my voice breaking as I struggled against the rope. I locked gaze with him, searching for any sign of compassion in his hard expression. But he stayed unmoved, his jaw clenched and his eyes darkened. The door behind him felt like a barrier I couldn’t cross. “Is she out of her mind? Why is she acting like this?” I heard the nurse whisper sharply, her voice sounding like an irritated sneer. I couldn’t care less about what she thought of me. I struggled against the rope holding me to the bed. Meanwhile, Alpha John and his guards were about to leave. Gathering all my courage, I took a deep breath, my lungs aching, and found the strength to say, “Wait! Alpha John, please—just look into my eyes and explain what's happening!" He paused, turned to gaze at me with a disgusted frown, then signaled for his bodyguard and the nurse to leave. The nurse shot me an awkward glance, as if she thought I was truly losing it. "What do you want me to explain? Make it quick; Diane is waiting for me..." His tone was cold and dismissive. "Diane, Diane, Diane!!!" I trembled with rage, my eyelids fluttering, threatening to close up. I had to shake the unconscious off. I pressed my forehead against the cold metal frame of the bed, desperate to stay focused. I needed to see his face clearly—needed to find even a hint of emotion buried beneath his hard exterior. “That's all I ever hear! But I'm your Luna—how could you do this to me? What have I done to deserve this punishment from you, Alpha John? Please, tell me where I went wrong and I will correct it okay?!” I cried as tears streamed down my cheeks. "You wanna know? When I found out that you are as barren as hell," he spat, his words slicing through the air like a knife. My eyes widened in shock, disbelief flooding through me. What was he talking about? Barren? What…. I felt my heart drop as low as it could get as he stepped closer, his hands shoved deep into his pockets. "You heard me?" he continued with a cold voice. "No matter how many times you spread your legs for me, it was all a waste. The only reason I kept you around for this long was to bear my child. But you can’t even do that." I had never imagined he viewed me this way. "You're so selfish, Evelyn. Just one hit with Diane, and she’s pregnant." Tears blurred my vision and my jaw quivered. My breathing was heavy and strained. When I finally found my voice, I looked up to him again. "You still cheated, John! How dare you twist this around and defend yourself like that! I never imagined you could think of me this way. It’s not my fault I couldn’t give you a child!" I hastily wiped my tears with my free hand, feeling the cold metal of the chains binding me. "That wretched Diane…” *SLAP* In an instant, he struck me across my right cheek, leaving my body frozen in shock. I instinctively placed my hands where he had hit me, my face turning away but he gripped my jaw with a force that made me wince in pain to look at me. His piercing gaze locked onto mine, and I trembled uncontrollably. "Alpha..." "As long as I give you a reason to live, you dare not insult my Diane again! How dare you?" With that, he flung my face toward the bed, my face hitting the white sheets. "You’re worthless, Evelyn. Tell me, in this world, what real man would stay with a barren woman?!" With trembling hands, I wiped away the tears streaming down my face. I couldn’t even get on my knees to plead, my body weak from days without food. "It's all your fault and you would have to face the consequences! Ensure you stay right here and wait for the doctors to take over!" His voice thundered as he turned to leave. I was frozen, unable to scream his name, watching him walk away, a hollow ache swelling in my chest. A few seconds later, the door swung open and the female nurse rushed in with a trolley in tow, and a male doctor right behind her. She placed her hands on my forehead but removed it immediately. "Oh my goddess! You're burning up, and your face is ghostly pale! Have you eaten anything at all?" The doctor brought out the stethoscope, draping it around his neck before pressing the chest piece against my skin. He shook his head. "Her heartbeat is normal.” What?! The word screamed in my mind as a wave of disbelief washed over me. A few nurses hurried in as they forcefully positioned me properly on the bed. I drew in a sharp breath as I could feel my heart beating loudly within me. How is it not possible for him to detect that? "Her body still seems strong enough for the operation, which is rare for an omega" He paused and continued. "And also she'll be needing a full check-up after the first stage because I’m sensing something isn’t right. If Alpha John finds out we’re not finished with the first stage, he’ll kill us, so let's begin"They burst through the doors and ran outside.Tires screamed against the ground.Giovanni’s car shot forward, dust kicking up behind it as it sped away.“Damn it!” John hissed.Evelyn didn’t hesitate. She yanked open the car door and slid in, John already behind the wheel. The engine roared to life, and within seconds, they were after him.“Don’t lose him,” she said, gripping the dashboard as the car lurched forward.“I won’t,” John replied, his eyes locked ahead, hands tight on the wheel. They sped through the road, weaving past cars, horns blaring around them. John swerved sharply, narrowly missing a truck, then pressed harder on the accelerator.“There!” Evelyn pointed. “That’s his car.”Up ahead, Giovanni’s car cut through traffic like it owned the road.John followed, jaw clenched, his focus unbreaking as he dodged another car.“Hold on,” he muttered.Suddenly, Giovanni’s car swerved.Left.John’s eyes narrowed. “That’s not the road to his pack.”Evelyn leaned forward, her brows
“What the fuck is going on in my mother’s room?” The words sliced through the air, sharp and sudden. John froze mid-step, his grip tightening around Evelyn’s wrist. Evelyn’s breath hitched, her pulse jumping as both of them turned at once. Giovanni stood at the doorway. Three bodyguards loomed behind him like shadows, he adjusted the sleeve of his milk-white suit with slow precision, his long hair pulled neatly back, not a strand out of place. One brow lifted as his cold gaze settled on them first John, then Evelyn. The room seemed to shrink under his presence. Evelyn instinctively took a small step back, but John didn’t move. His jaw locked, shoulders stiff, as he placed himself slightly in front of her. Giovanni noticed. A faint smirk tugged at the corner of his lips as he stepped forward, his polished shoes clicking softly against the floor, each step measured, deliberate. “Do you know,” he began, his voice low and controlled, “this can complicate things for you tw
They pushed through the autopsy room doors, the sharp scent of antiseptic hitting them immediately. Ezra stood by the table, a file in his hand. He looked up as they approached, his expression serious. “You’re here,” he said, handing the report to John. John took it, his eyes scanning quickly. Evelyn stepped closer, her gaze fixed on the pages. Ezra didn’t wait. “There’s severe internal damage,” he explained, his tone steady. “Bruising deep enough to tear tissue.” He pointed to a section on the report. “And this...” he tapped it lightly, “...a dent in the skull. Strong enough to kill.” Evelyn’s breath hitched slightly. “But that’s not all,” Ezra added, his voice lowering. “She was still alive after the blow. She bled out… slowly. Long enough that she could have been saved.” Evelyn’s hands curled tightly at her sides, her nails digging into her palms. Her jaw clenched as anger burned through her chest. “This guy…” she muttered, her voice tight. “He’s sick. It’s obvious.” Ezra
Simone drove in silence, the car cutting through the quiet road. His hands stayed firm on the wheel, but his eyes kept drifting to the rearview mirror. Evelyn sat at the back, still. Her face turned toward the window, eyes fixed on nothing. The passing trees blurred, but she didn’t blink. Her chest rose slowly, tightly. How long…? How long has this been hidden from her? And Bea… Her jaw clenched. What did he do to her? Threaten her? Break her until she stayed quiet? Simone glanced at her again, then quickly looked away, his grip tightening slightly on the steering wheel. The car finally pulled into the hospital. He stopped. “Room 214,” he said quietly. Evelyn didn’t respond. She was already out of the car. Her steps were fast almost asid she was running as she moved through the hallway, her heart pounding harder with each step. The number came into view. She didn’t hesitate. She pushed the door open. The moment she stepped in, her body stilled. Relief hit first, shar
John stepped out of the autopsy building, the sharp sting of chemicals still clinging to his clothes. His jaw tightened as he pulled out his phone and dialed Evelyn again. The call rang… and rang… then died. No answer.A frown crept onto his face. He tried again. Still nothing. His grip on the phone tightened. Something wasn’t right. He got into his car and slammed the door, the engine roaring to life as his foot pressed hard on the accelerator. The drive back to the mansion felt longer than usual. His fingers tapped impatiently against the steering wheel, his eyes flicking to his phone every few seconds.“Pick up…” he muttered under his breath, dialing her number again.Silence.By the time he pulled into the mansion, tension coiled tightly in his chest. He stepped out quickly, barely shutting the door before striding inside. His footsteps echoed through the halls as he headed straight for her room.He pushed the door open and it was empty. He stepped in slowly, his nose flaring as h
The word hung in the air as simone went still.“Leigh suspects it too,” Mat continued, his tone colder now. “And she doesn’t want you anywhere near her.”Each word landed like a blow.“But don’t worry,” Mat added, almost dismissively, turning slightly as if the decision was already made. “You’ll still be useful. You’ll handle my business from the outside… while I stay here with my wife and kids.”That did it.Something inside Simone snapped.A low, strained breath left him as his claws pushed out, sharp and trembling at his sides. His muscles tensed, shoulders rising, anger flashing across his face but he forced it down. His claws slowly retracted, though his hands still shook.“You can’t do this to me, Mat,” he said, his voice tight, almost breaking under the weight of it. He shook his head, stepping closer again, desperate now. “You should know better than anyone why I chose this path.”Mat’s expression flickered just for a second.Because he did know but it didn’t change anything.
EVEYLN“Paulo, repeat what you just said.”John blocked the doorway before I could step inside the mansion. His jaw was set, eyes hard. “You need to hear this,” he muttered without looking at me.Paulo shifted from foot to foot, rubbing the back of his neck as if the words burned. “I didn’t know at
EVEYLNI couldn’t hold myself together anymore. My fingers shot out before I could think, snatching the car keys from John’s hand. His startled gasp barely registered as I spun on my heel and stormed down the hallway, shoes slamming against the cold hospital floor with sharp, echoing thuds. The flu
Mimi’s hands froze in the soapy water, a plate slipping back into the sink with a dull splash. Her thoughts tangled, pulling her under. Why had Evelyn suddenly changed like this? She used to be the only one who stood firm, the one who almost got him fired after what he did, the one who swore Mimi w
