“There is something else I need to tell you about the boy,” Logan said. “His blood test is very bad. He is dangerously starved. His body does not have enough nutrients, and his blood level is very low. It looks like someone has been taking a lot of blood from him for years, without giving him proper food or time to rest.”

As Logan kept talking and listing all the bad things wrong with the boy's body, the air in the hallway felt like ice.

Devon’s jaw tightened, and his face twisted in anger and Hugo’s eyes darkened, filled with killing intent.

Seeing their terrifying faces, Logan quickly took a step back. He let out a sigh and rubbed his neck. “Well… his body is very, very weak. That is all I found out from the basic test. I will go now to check on his medicine. Call me if you need anything.” He quickly walked out as fast as he could, as if he was being chased.

Devon and Hugo stared at the fragile boy lying on the hospital bed. His face looked so pale that he looked like he had given up the ghost.

“How could anyone hurt someone this pure…” Hugo muttered. He clenched his fist against the window until his knuckles turned white. He did not look at his rival as he spoke. “You can go now, Adler. I will take care of him.”

Devon’s eyes narrowed. “What do you mean by that, Keagan?”

Hugo let out a cold laugh. “Don't you have a fiancé waiting for you at the Sawyer house? The whole world says you two are going to get married.”

“He is not my fiancé. I told you that already,” Devon's tone was sharp like a knife. “And I am not leaving. This boy belongs with me.”

Hugo snapped back, stepping closer until the two tall Alphas were standing chest-to-chest. “You already have your own match. This one is mine.”

Neither man wanted to back down. Usually, when two strong Alphas wanted the same Omega, they would fight until one died. But as they stared at each other, they knew the truth. If the Adler Tech company and Keagan, the commander in chief, started a war, it would ruin the whole country.

More than that, it would affect the boy in bed.

Because they didn't want to scare him, they reached a consensus that they would share him for the time being.

They kept on staring at him through the window till they noticed he was about to wake up, they rushed in immediately.

The first thing Kyle saw when his eyes opened was the bright, blinding white walls of the room, and the ceiling.

The white walls… Kyle’s mind completely stopped working. Was he back at the lab? Did those two men catch him? Did they drag him back to the dark cells because they had found out he was an Omega?

A wave of terror hit his heart. He scrambled to sit up, and his breathing instantly became erratic. He cried out like a hurt animal, trying to pull his knees up to his chest.

“Are you okay?” He turned his head towards the voice. It was the two huge men from last night.

Kyle’s heart beat wildly against his ribs. His eyes became blurry with tears, and his whole body began to shake.

“I… I’ll be g…ood,” Kyle stuttered frantically, his voice breaking as he pressed his back hard against the wall. He raised his thin arms to cover his face, trying to shield himself from the beatings he thought were coming. “I… I don't want to c…ome back… p…lease don't hit m…e… don't use the n…eedles…”

Seeing him panic so much, Devon and Hugo felt a sharp pain in their hearts.

They rushed towards him, trying to comfort him, but it seemed like it did more harm than good.

To Kyle, two huge men moving quickly toward him looked exactly like the laboratory guards coming to tie him down to the gurney. He let out a sharp, breathless scream. His already pale face turned completely white, and he tried to make himself look as small as an insect.

They stopped as soon as they found that they had frightened him more.

Hugo quickly reached for the emergency bell and hit it to call the doctors.

In a few seconds, Logan rushed into the room with two nurses. “Step back, both of you! Give him some space!” Logan ordered. No one on the medical team dared to be slow or clumsy, because the two most powerful men in the country were standing right behind them with faces that looked as dark as storm clouds.

They got straight to work, trying to soothe him. Once Kyle was stable, Logan smiled at him. “You are safe. This is a regular city hospital. Our job here is to help you get better.”

Kyle slowly lowered his arms, his big, wet eyes blinking in confusion.

Logan gave him an encouraging smile and pointed at the two silent giants standing far away from the bed in order not to scare him. “And those two people over there? They are good people. They saved you last night and brought you here.”

Kyle’s eyes slowly moved past the doctor, looking at Devon and Hugo. He gripped the bedsheets tightly. “R…really?”

But the moment he looked into their eyes, he instinctively shrank back again. He was terrified of the aura radiating off them.

Logan almost slapped his own forehead. He turned around and gave his friend Hugo and President Adler a very annoyed look. “umm… Hugo, President Adler, could you two please fix your faces and tone it down a little? You look like you are about to punish a criminal.”

Hearing the doctor's words, the duo tried to look as gentle as possible.

“We won't hurt you,” Devon said. His deep voice had become incredibly soft, it was a voice he had never used on anyone else in his whole life. “We brought you here last night because we saw you looked pale in the hallway, so we wanted to make sure you were safe.”

Kyle looked up at them, his long eyelashes still wet with tears. He saw their faces and realised they didn't look scary anymore. He suddenly felt very guilty. He felt like he was a very bad and ungrateful boy for being so scared of these two kind men who had saved him.

“A…hh… th…ank you,” Kyle whispered. He stood and tried to bow.

Seeing him move, Devon and Hugo both moved forward at the same time. They gently pressed his shoulders making him sit back on the bed.

“There is no need to stand up,” Hugo said. His hand still stayed on Kyle’s shoulder, and he was shocked by how soft and light the boy felt. “Just rest.”

Kyle’s face turned a little red, and he fidgeted with his fingers even faster. He felt so useless, they were so kind, why did he have to be stupid and get scared in the first place?

If the two Alphas could hear his thoughts right now, they would want to laugh at how sweet and innocent he was. Them? Kind? Their names and kind had never been used together in the history of the country. They were wolves, but for this little deer, they were hiding their claws completely.

Logan turned to the nurses and waved his hand. “Alright, everyone else can leave now. Let's give him some quiet time.” Once the nurses left, Logan turned back to Kyle. He had to help his friend chase his match, or Hugo would stay single forever.

“Kyle, there is a very important reason why they brought you here,” Logan said gently. “We did a blood test last night. The test says you are an

Omega… and you have a 99.999% match with both of them.”

Inside the massive living room of the Sawyer mansion, Clarissa Sawyer, Noah Sawyer and his dad were gathered. Richard Sawyer slammed his fist on the table, his face red with rage.“Can’t you even keep one single boy in check? You let him run around wildly at the banquet, and now look at what he has done!” Richard shouted, his chest heaving with anger. “First thing this morning, Adler Tech and Keagan Enterprises froze all our trade deals! Our stocks are crashing by the minute!”Clarissa Sawyer bit her lips, trying so hard to control her outburst. “Dear, that ungrateful brat must have done it on purpose! Who would have thought he would cause such a disaster the moment we took him out?” Standing behind his mother, Noah kept his head down. He was desperately trying to hide his nervousness. If he had known that forcing that red liquor down Kyle’s throat last night would cause this much harm to the family company, he would never have done it, no matter how furious and jealous he had bee

“M…matches?” Kyle’s eyes went wide. His mind was completely blank.Hugo and Devon took the opportunity to squat in front of him. This was something that would shock anyone who saw this.Standing beside Kyle, Logan screamed in his mind. Holy shit, holy shit, what am I looking at right now? His ruthless military friend, and the cold business tycoon were literally crouching on the floor of a hospital floor to make a boy feel better, using soft voices that no one had the honour of hearing. He really wanted to pull out his phone, take a picture, and send it to their group chat. But he knew if he did that, Hugo would kill him, so Logan could only stand there, enjoying the moment.“Yes, matches,” Devon said softly, his dark eyes fixed on Kyle’s face. “We will take care of you from now on. We will give you everything you need, and we will make sure you never lack food, safety, or anything else in this world.”Kyle stared down at them, feeling even more confused. When the footsteps came closer, it was a waiter carrying a tray loaded with drinks. Noah's eyes locked onto the drinks. These specific dark red drinks were called Astra-Tonic. They were highly alcoholic and only Alphas were able to hold their liquor after drinking it. An idea popped in Noah's head. If he forced it down Kyle's throat, how would he behave? Would he still be as quiet as he was, or would he do something stupid and embarrass himself in front of the whole banquet? “Wait, let me take one of these, it's for my father.” Noah said, flashing him his signature angelic smile. The waiter, completely fooled, bowed and stretched the tray out towards him. Noah collected it, and as soon as the waiter's footsteps could no longer be heard. His expression turned vicious as he turned to look at Kyle. He grabbed Kyle by the back of his neck, and pinned him against the wall. “Since you love to act like a pitiful victim, let's see how you act after a drink,” Noah sneered.Kyle’

“You had better stay behind Noah at all times. Do not let us see you wandering around like a stray. If you misbehave at this banquet, you won't get food for a week. Do you understand me?”Clarissa Sawyer’s voice was completely devoid of emotion as she spoke. They were inside a plush limousine that was moving towards the venue of the banquet of the year. She didn't even bother to hide the disgust as she looked at the boy sitting across from her. Tonight, she was dressed in the latest haute-couture piece from the YX autumn collection, paired with this season's latest designer handbag. Afraid that the high-society elite might somehow miss how wealthy she was, she had draped herself in an excessive layer of diamond necklaces, heavy rings, and glittering hairpins. The display was gaudy, and a tad too much for anyone with actual refined taste, but to Clarissa, it was fashion, she simply wanted everyone to know that she could afford these things.Kyle nodded quickly as he hunched his shoul
