"Dad, can I go back home? I don't know why, but all is quiet disturbing for me; I can't focus on today's meeting. I'm sorry, dad." Ashley said her wolf keeps whispering things in her head.

"Hey, don't be sorry, my girl; I can understand. Go home and rest for a while. I have important work to do. We will talk about this when I come back, okay? I won't let you get hurt again!" Alexander told his daughter that he would not let anything bad happen to her now.

Ashley smiled. Her father has always protected her from everything since she was a kid.

"Thankyou dad! I will take a leave now. Bye!" Ashley hugged her dad and left.

Alexander sighed and looked outside the window.

He really misses his best friend, but after everything, it's hard for him. Ashley is his world; he and his wife always choose Ashley. He still remembers what happened 25 years ago and how things repeated themselves seven years later. They have their own dark secrets.
