Chapter 39: The Queen's birthday

The hall was decorated with a beautiful intricate design made on the wall; the air was filled with a rose scent; and the chandeliers remained fixed on the wooden ceiling, casting their orange glow on the hall.

However, Rayne could smell a unique smell. Though the hall was filled with a rose smell, he recognized this particular smell, which stood out among all the other scents.

Rayne turned his head to look at the intruder; of course, he recognized her.

Selene descended the stairs in her long, flowery green dress that hung low on her shoulder. The dress clung to her tiny waist with a silver ribbon at the end. Her wavy, long brown hair bounces down the stairs as she descends.
