Helen’s POV

The moment Julian says center of the arena, I feel the adrenaline kick.

He steps forward like a storm, focused, powerful, all business and damn, he looks good. That tight black shirt clings to him like a second skin, every movement flexing muscle and control. I bite my bottom lip as I roll my shoulders, stepping in front of him.

“You sure you’re ready for me, Alpha?” I tease, hands raised in a playful stance.

His eyes narrow. “This isn’t a game, Helen. Fight seriously, or leave.”

Oof. He’s always had that deep voice that could command a room. I take a step closer, smirking. “I am serious. Serious about you letting me win again.”

He doesn’t smile. Not even a twitch of his lips.

Alright, fine. He wants to play rough.

We circle each other, boots crunching against the dirt floor of the training pit. I strike first, a quick jab aimed for his ribs but he sidesteps with inhuman grace and taps my shoulder with a precision strike that makes my breath hitch.

“Still slow,” he murmurs

Kira's POV. I’m seated across from the elders in the grand council chamber, the weight of what is expected from me once I become Queen Luna pressing down like a bulldozer over my shoulders. Elder Simon’s voice drones on about coronation rites—symbolic gestures, ceremonial appearances, public expectations, but my focus is fraying at the edges until my phone vibrates against my thigh. I glance down, expecting a naughty text from Julian. Something small to remind me that even with the weight of this pack pressing down on my shoulders, I’m not alone in this. Instead, it’s a video. No contact name. Just a random unknown number... My stomach tightens. I hesitate, thumb hovering, then tap the screen. The clip opens in the training arena. Julian is front and center, gleaming with sweat. He’s sparring with a tall female warrior with her face blurry and a cocky stance. It starts off looking innocent until it doesn’t. She circles him, hips swaying onto him like he’s her prey. There’s s

Julian’s POVThe second I step out of my office, I mind-link Kira. 'How did it go with the she devil?'There’s a slight pause before her voice filters in. 'She is proving to be difficult like I expected but I will handle now that I know the truth. You don’t have to worry, babe.'I frown, not satisfied. 'Red, she’s dangerous. I should’ve come with you—''I said I’ve got it under control,' she says, firmer this time. 'Go about your day. I’m heading to the elders to discuss coronation details.'A small smirk pulls at my lips. Of course she is. That girl could walk through hell and then plan a royal event before lunch.'At least let me see you before I head out to train,' I say in mindlink.'If you must,' she teases. 'I’ll be with the elders in the west wing.''Give me five minutes. I need to change into something that can survive sweat and blood.'I cut the link and stride toward my bedroom. As I walk, my mind stays on Kira. She walked into this pack weak, shaking in her own skin. Now? S

Kira’s POV 'Luna Cassandra is your mom's distant cousin,' Alpha Magnus’ confession plays over in my mind like a haunting echo I can’t silence. And he killed my grandfather. He took his life only for that witch he calls his mate to take what rightfully belonged to my mother, Sophia. And now I finally understand why Luna Cassandra hates me so much. They inherited stolen wealth, and stolen land… and buried every trace of the blood they spilled to get it. And they almost erased me. I clench my fists as I walk beside Julian through the palace halls after leaving Alpha Magnus's office. He watches me carefully, his protective energy like a steady flame. “I want to talk to her,” I say, my voice firmer than I expect. He stops. “Talk to who?” “Luna Cassandra. Alone.” Julian’s jaw tightens. “Not happening.” “She’s my family, Julian. My distant aunt, remember? I want to hear her side before I lose control. I need to face her myself.” “She’s not your family, Red... She’s a master manipu

Julian’s POV Kira’s hand trembles slightly in mine as we walk down the corridor toward my father’s office. I squeeze it gently, hoping to anchor her in the same way I’m trying to ground myself. She hasn’t said much since she found that letter and brought it to my attention... I’ve never seen her eyes burn with so many unspoken questions. We both know that Luna Cassandra won’t give us answers—at least not willingly. That leaves one man. My father. We reach the carved oak doors to his office, voices murmuring behind them. I knock once before pushing the door open. Inside, two of the pack’s most senior elders stand beside my father’s desk, parchment scrolls unrolled, maps and ceremony diagrams covering half the surface. I know that they’re planning our coronation. “Prince Julian,” one of the elders greets with a bow. “And Lady Kira. Welcome.” My father looks up from the scrolls, his eyes softening as he sees us. “Children. Come in.” Kira and I bow slightly in respect. “Good da

Helen’s POV I didn’t expect her to look so… ordinary. When I bumped into Kira in the corridor, I was prepared to offer my most gracious smile and a polite compliment just as I had rehearsed. But the moment she turned toward me, startled like a frightened doe, something sharp twisted in my chest. She had Julian’s mark and she was suddenly the evil woman who replaced me. I must admit that she is small, delicate, with eyes too soft for the role she’d been given. And yet there she stood, Luna Queen-to-be, holding the heart of the only man I had ever truly loved. My smile didn’t falter. I even offered to train her, masking my bitterness beneath well-practiced charm. She refused, of course—sweetly, and awkwardly—but eventually said yes, likely just to end the conversation. I didn’t mind. I had seen what I needed to see. She was in way over her head. Now, as I follow the winding path through the palace gardens, my heels click softly against ground, I carry that moment with

Kira’s POV “Hurry Kira, before we’re caught,” Martha whispers, glancing nervously over her shoulder. My fingers tremble as I unfold the aged letter. A photograph slips out and flutters to the floor like a forgotten memory. I bend to pick it up—and freeze. The woman staring back at me is young, radiant, with wild red curls and a knowing, soft smile that mirrors the one I’ve seen in my own reflection a thousand times. My breath catches in my throat. She looks just like me. My knees threaten to give way, and I grip the edge of the desk to keep myself upright. “Martha...” I whisper, my voice barely audible. “This is my mom.” Martha steps closer, her face grave. “I thought she might be. But then I asked myself—why was her picture and an old letter hidden in Luna Cassandra’s private drawer?” I don’t respond because even I don't have an answer to her question. My hands move on their own, unfolding the yellowed paper. --- Dearest Cass, I am leaving Crimson Crown. I cannot stay now

kira's POV. “I forgave them because holding on to anger would only weigh me down as queen Luna,” I say softly. “Letting go was for me—not for them.” Julian’s gaze lingers on mine, filled with warmth. “You’re going to be an incredible Luna. No wonder I missed you so much while you were missing.” He pulls me closer, voice low and tender. “Just one more minute… Let me hold you a little longer.” I smile too, but my thoughts are racing. I think of my mother and her gentle voice, the way she always said I was meant for more. Maybe she knew this day would come. "Babe, I have to go now," I slither out of his hold and he groans. "Please be careful around her. Father might have forgiven her because we had no solid proof of their evil deeds but don't let your guard down," he warns and I nod with a smile. As I reach for my robe, one thought won’t leave me. Who was my mother, really? And what is Luna Cassandra so afraid I’d discover if she was talking about my mom? *** A fe

  • Rejected By My Mate. Claimed By His Disabled Brother.   Chapter 89.

Kira's POV (The next morning after the summit) "Good morning, my beautiful Luna queen," Julian murmurs, waking me with soft kisses along the back of my neck. We're wrapped in the warmth of our new, elegant bedroom—larger and more regal, befitting our upcoming coronation as Alpha King and Luna Queen in just five days. "Good morning, my Alpha king," I reply with a lazy stretch, turning to face him after a long, exhausting night because after Alpha Magnus named Julian as his successor, tensions rose. Luna Cassandra and Damian were forced to apologize publicly for all the pain they had caused me. And with family bonds hanging by a thread, Alpha Magnus had no choice but to forgive them—just as I had been forced to. Julian's smile deepens as his gaze roams over my bare skin, now bathed in the soft morning light. "You look like you barely slept," he teases, letting his finger trace a slow line from my neck down to my navel. "Well, you kind of wore me out last night," I murmur, shif
