I am messing with the devil

“This thing will get you killed,” Dante said, looking at my swollen mark.

“It’s not a thing, it’s my flesh. It’s a part of me.”

“It’s a leech that Damon is going to use to control you,” Damon yelled and I looked away.

The pain stopped ten minutes ago and the rain has stopped amping time, the sky smiled at me with its brightness as I stared at it. The floor is now dry and Dante and I are still here.

He helped me up and he led me out of the forest.

“Damon can hurt me whenever he wants,” I whispered and Dante didn’t speak.

By the time we got to what’s left of the house, I stared at the ashes that were scattered all across the place, there was barely anything left here, it felt like we hadn’t lived here ten hours ago.

I watched as Dante pulled into the house, after he left me by the doorstep step, and in a second he came out with a bag, it didn’t burn.

“What’s that Dante?” I whispered.

“Nothing.” He said and I rolled my eyes at him. “Now what, what do we do?” I asked again.
