Mag-log inYou can't afford to miss this week's chapters, it promises to be fun
Clara Torres (POV)I listened quietly as Marcus explained what transpired yesterday to me, leaving no details out. He was so detailed that I could picture myself amidst what happened. To say that I was stunned was an understatement, the light in his eyes had gone out by the time he finished narrating what happened. The silent punishment for blaming himself on how things had turned out even though he was trying to hide it so well. He held my hand explaining how Elder Rowan had told him it was a spell. That the traitor used my image in disguise.I drew my chair closer to his and hugged him, "it's okay, it wasn't your fault that she lost the baby. I'm sure she understood the assignment," I tried cajoling him."You don't understand, I mean I could have thought this true before I led everyone out there. Putting her in danger which could have been averted," Marcus rested his head on my chest, breathing heavily. At a loss of what to do, "come have your bath, then we will go over to your plac
Clara Torres (POV)The morning sun poured into my room through the glassy window, leaving the reflection of yesterday's activity. My eyelids felt like the weight of lead, slowly drooping like sunset. I leaned forward, elbows on knees, as if trying to hold myself upright. My body was rigid compared to the soft bed I was sitting on. I yawned heavily, still feeling sleepy, yesterday's stress was still etched in my bones. Every fiber of my body resonates in pain, my hair falls over my shoulder in a discomforting state.I dozed off while waiting for Marcus to come to my room yesterday because I heard him talking to Elder Rowan downstairs against my wish.I stood up from the bed and matched towards the bathroom to prepare myself for the day's work. Planning on stopping by at the estate because I needed an explanation as to why everyone around me was acting weird.Elena didn't sound like herself yesterday, it was as if everyone knows what's going on except for me. I feel so left out and outd
Elena Torres (POV)I had a thorough bath when we got home from the warehouse, despite the sharp pain I was having in my lower stomach. Andrew advised me to take my bath and change into something comfy while he went to get Ken.The blood I saw coming down from my lower part must be from the ones I got from the warehouse because why not, I was even afraid we would branch to a public bathroom instead of bringing the stench into the house.Selene was more focused on the love series showing on the television to be concerned with whatever was going on in the house. She has been suspiciously quiet these days and I find it unsettling.I dried my body with the small towel and chose to wear a black nightwear, a shirt and short pants since it was dark already. I lay down in bed and the day's incident began to wear off on me.I was too tired to think of anything at this point, I turned to my left to sleep when my phone rang. It was Clara, my body shook in fear as her face slipped into my memory.
Marcus Kane (POV)I left home immediately. I had my shower after the hunting thing. Different thoughts were running through my mind and I was bent on finding Clara and forcing the truth out of her. I was already parked in the small space in front of her 'company' as she normally calls it.I dialed her number just to ascertain if she was really at work today or not. I refused to believe that she set her foot here today. I went to the crochet section before I came back to my car and I was told she was at the bar section for today.I was kind of relieved. Maybe that was what I wanted to hear so bad. That she wasn't the one in the warehouse or it's just my instinct trying to justify her so badly. I leaned against the car, closing my eyes. I could still remember telling her where I was going to this morning and what I was going to do.I called her again for the third time and she answered, her voice was soothing. I could feel the stress of the day sipping out of my body but I couldn't hold
Clara Torres (POV)I was busy at the bar section being a Friday, the bar was full to the brim as always. My messy bun was no help, I picked the habit of putting the hairs behind my ear every minute so the strand of it won't fall into the wine I'm mixing. I wonder why Mr Clement would have me working in the bar section today of all days knowing how crazy it always gets on Friday. His excuse was that the customers complained about the other servers. That their eyes were too strong and it spoils their appetite. What a ludicrous reason, I had to bite down the rude comments burning on my tongue because I actually like working here. Glancing at the closed door, hoping someone else would take my place over the loud music and the never ending serving with a fake smile planted on my face except on rare occasions when the customer is polite and friendly and well maybe the flirty ones. Mr Clement waved his hand at me from across the room and I was craving to send the bottle of champagne in m
Marcus Kane.I closed my eyes briefly, just to be sure my eyes were not deceiving me. Doing that for decades won't change the person sitting on a chair a few meters away from me with tobacco in between her fingers. I've never been this surprised all my life.It looks like a script straight out of a well written movie. I mean, which other explanation could I possibly give this. I laughed so hard my stomach hurts, the men with her wore a confused look. The men attacked us with full speed but I was quick to find my bearing before he could decorate my face with his claw. The men were strong, I fought with anger, tearing them apart before they could shift into their form. I was blinded by anger, questioning my worth and the times I spent with her for the past three months. Clara had already escaped before we finished fighting the men, four of them were already dead aside from the two guys Andrew fought with. He only overpowered them, so they wouldn't be able to attack. My men came to take
Elena's POVEnergy burst forth from within me.Not controlled. Not calculated. Just raw, desperate need to protect him.The sword paused in mid-motion. The woman gripping it halted her crimson eyes growing wide with astonishment. Surrounding us, the wolves sank onto their knees, heads lowered, compe
Elena's Pov He remained motionless muscles tense and wound up jaw moving as if he were crushing bones with his teeth."Say it to them." Selene urged, her tone gentle and understanding. "Say it's genuine. That you love her for her self not for what she offers you. Say…" her eyes met mine "...say she
Elena's POVThe raven took off before I had a chance to grasp what had just occurred. Andrew’s voice. Emitted by a bird."That's impossible," Clara whispered next to me.Whether feasible or not, it indicated he was observing. In some manner he was aware of the letter.I balled up the paper. Stuffed
Elena's POVDawn rays streamed into my room. I remained awake. The note rested on my bedside table, Andrews scrawled words teasing me each time I looked.*If only I could locate one, capture one, the group would turn invincible.*He had been preparing for three years. Three years prior, to our enco
