From my window, I gazed down at the trainees running around the field. Since morning, I’ve been lazily hanging around my window, hoping to find him among the trainees, yet no sign of Xander.

My patience was gradually dwindling as I paced around, skeptically.

“Are you sure he won’t disappoint me again?” I whispered to myself.

“Are you okay, my Lady? You’ve been acting all anxious since morning, you haven’t even touched your breakfast,” Glacia said and I turned, faking a smile.

“Are you sure? Is this because of your dinner date with the Alpha?” Glacia asked, I kept mute, hiding my face to conceal the pink fingers already spreading on my face.

“You must have felt lonely, the Alpha was so cold, wasn’t he?” she giggled. I looked at Glacia.

I have come to take her as an elder sister, she reminds me so much of Melsa. Glacia is 19 years old, a year older than me, though she doesn’t have a mate yet.

“It wasn’t so bad, I enjoyed his company,” I said, smiling.
