Jenna hastened her footsteps through the hotel’s hallway as she headed toward Damien’s room with anger evident on her face. Her head felt like it was going to explode as infuriation crawled up her body. “Who misses his fiancée’s dress fitting appointment?”
As she got closer to the door, her heart became filled with anxiety as the unmistakable sound of female moans filled her ears. Her breath caught up in her throat as each step she took got heavier than the last
As she reached the door, the sounds grew louder, and her worst fears were confirmed.
“You like it, don’t you,” came Damien’s raspy voice as the noise of bodies clapping filled her ears.
“Yes Daddy..” the woman moaned in response.
“Ohh f*ck!” Damien groaned, I can’t wait to make you mine!”
At those words, Jenna’s mind went blank as she blinked hard in confusion. She checked the room number again to be sure she wasn’t in the wrong room, “205 was boldly written on the door.” This was definitely Damien’s room and she was sure because she had personally selected it for him as family and friends were gathered to celebrate her father’s birthday in his hotel before their wedding day.
With shaky hands, she pushed the door knob and surprisingly it wasn’t locked. The grip on her purse loosened, letting it fall to the ground. For a second she thought she was hallucinating as she blinked repeatedly hoping for the scene in front of her to leave her head, but it didn’t!
Her jaw dropped in disbelief as she watched Damien and her stepsister, Coty, intertwine in each other’s arms, their faces filled with pleasure. Damien was kissing her with his hands wrapped around her waist, pulling her closer to him and digging deep into her as she moaned repeatedly with a firm grip on him, lost in their dark pleasure.
Jenna stood frozen as her mind was unable to process what was going on. She couldn’t understand the betrayal unfolding before her eyes and the fact that her stepsister would do this to her.
She clenched her fist as she tried to hold back the tears that threatened to fall.
She never wanted this marriage from the beginning but being the only legitimate daughter of the Alpha of the Crescent Moon Pack she was caught up in a marriage of alliance between her father and Damien’s father who was the former Beta of the Silvercrest Pack as they conspired to take the position of Alpha from his brother.
Her father, George Spears, was a prominent man who knew nothing about patience. His decisions were not to be thwarted for any reason.
He saw a chance to gain more power and elevate his influence in the society and didn't waste any time taking it by marrying her to a monster who had no regard for womanhood just to achieve his selfish desires.
She wasn’t allowed to choose her groom even if it was her mate but on the day she met Damien, he turned out to be her mate.
She was happy that she would at least be ending up with her mate but he betrayed her right before her eyes. He chose to humiliate her by having an affair with her stepsister. “Even though he had told her countless times how much he hated her, for the sake of the mate bond they shared she had expected better!”
“Damien!…” Catching her breath she managed to utter, her voice barely above a whisper.
She stood transfixed as none of them seemed to hear her.
They were both so engrossed in what they were doing that they couldn’t even hear her.
“Please stop… I beg of you… stop!..” she stuttered tears welling up.
He looked up, his eyes widened in shock. “Jenna this isn’t…”
“I didn’t expect you to be here,” her stepsister interrupted, her tone defiant with no remorse.
“Please leave us, we are not done yet, sister.” She added with a corked smile.
Jenna felt her heart rip out of her body for a second. What the f*ck was her snitch of a sister saying?
She turned to him hoping he would say something but instead, he had his arms wrapped around her body. She couldn’t believe what was happening even though she had always known Coty hated her; she didn’t believe she would betray her like this and jeopardize her marriage with Damien.
She let out the tears that threatened to fall from her eyes as she turned to him. “Damien tell me this is all a joke!”
Coty let out a loud chuckle. “Did you actually think he would get married to a selfish bitch like you?” “News flash, I’m having his baby!” She added with spite.
“That’s not true…” Jenna said, shaking her head in disbelief as she looked at him. “Tell me she is lying Damien, " she added with a cracked voice, clinging to a thread of hope, and her eyes filled with so many tears that were running down her cheeks freely.
Damien avoided her gaze with silence confirming her worst fears.
Jenna gave a nod in defeat and turned away. She could barely see clearly but struggled to maintain a normal pace because it felt like her heart was about to jump out of her chest.
She made her way through the hallway down to her room trying to avoid as many people as possible.
She pushed the door open and the moment she closed it, she leaned against it.
Exhausted, she lay on her bed and shut her eyes trying to gasp for air when she heard a knock.
She panted hard as the knock caused her a shock.
Trying to catch her breath she watched as Damien walked in with hickeys on his face.
“Don’t you think I deserve an explanation?” She asked in a calm voice.
“I owe you no explanation as to how I choose to live my life,” he replied in a cold voice.
“It’s our wedding in one week Damien, but you choose to humiliate me this way by having an affair with my sister and even getting her pregnant, really!? She flared in anger.
“Our wedding, huh?” Damien snarled, “I never wanted any of this and there will be no us, no freaking wedding!” I do not love you Jenna and I reject this mate bond!
She held back the new tears that threatened to fall from her eyes as she watched him walk out on her.
Devastated Jenna took the bottle of champagne in her room gulping it directly from the bottle.
Digging her hands into her purse to find her phone with shaking hands, she dialed the number of the only person who could share her pains.
“Kaya!” Jenna screamed as she picked up after the third ring.
“Damien… he..he… he canceled the wedding,” she cried in a cracked voice.
“Son of a b*tch!” kaya cursed. “Where are you right now ?” She asked with worry laced in her voice.
“In my room,” Jenna replied with a sniff. “How do I face my dad ?” She added in tears.
“Come to my room, let’s talk about this,” Kaya said over the phone and the call ended.
Jenna staggered her way through as she headed for her best friend's room.
Getting on the elevator with her eyes dizzy, she mistakenly pressed the 9th-floor button instead of the 6th-floor.
She finally made it to room 405 and pulled the half-opened door.
Walking in, she gasped for breath as she stared at the figure in front of her.
It wasn’t Kaya but in front of her stood a well-built man whose back was turned. He was shirtless and had tattoos that covered up his back and arm.
“Who are you?” Came his masculine voice causing her breath to seize as she braced herself, shutting her eyes close and sucked in a heavy breath as she couldn’t resist her burning desire for this stranger.
“I…..I am…. I want you.” She stuttered as those words rolled off her tongue unexpectedly.
Jenna’s face paled as her stomach churned in anxiety. Her mother’s pendant was ancient, carved with runes from a bloodline older than any pack. Her ashes… were all she had left.“And if I don’t?” Tears stung behind her eyes but she blinked them back. She wouldn’t give Chloe the satisfaction.“Then your mother’s ashes disappear. And the pendant? I’ll melt it down and wear it as earrings.” Chloe’s smile was cruel and her voice was filled with venom. “Tick-tock, dear.”Jenna stood frozen, her mind racing. She couldn’t give Chloe the documents—that would undo everything. But how could she risk losing the last sacred pieces of her mother?Just then, she spotted Alpha Ryker approaching from the corridor. Relief flickered in her chest. But it was short-lived.“Don’t get too excited,” Chloe hissed, stepping closer, her perfume suffocating. “He can’t know about this. If you so much as whisper a word to him…” Her smile faded, replaced by a deadly stillness. “Be ready to lose everything. Includi
“Al… Alpha Ryker, how are you here?” Jenna’s father stuttered in shock. He wasn’t expecting to see him.You mean to say, "How did I find out you are holding a board meeting without me?" Alpha Ryker growled, causing them all to fidget.“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to, but it was a minor case, and I didn’t want to disturb you over something this petty, " George Spears answered shakily.Jenna’s face lit with a smile even though she wanted to handle it personally but seeing the look on their faces made her wolf leap with joy.“Turns out I have free time, I would love to take part in this meeting,” he snarled.“Alpha Ryker, this isn’t something you should be involved in, it’s just family iss…” Jenna’s stepmom tried to say but was cut short by a loud bang on the table.“You should control your wife, George!” Alpha Ryker scowled causing Mrs Chloe to melt but not without staring daggers at Jenna.Do something, Damian. Coty whispered fiercely to her confused-looking fiance.“Uncle, you shouldn’t
Jenna’s heels clicked sharply on the cold marble floor, each step echoing in the vast, empty hallway. The closer she got to the boardroom, the heavier the weight on her chest became. This meeting wasn’t just about numbers. It wasn’t just about Spears Corporation. It was about her future—about what would remain of her mother's legacy if they succeeded in taking it all from her.As she reached the massive glass doors of the boardroom, she hesitated. The voices inside were muted, but the tension in the air was palpable. She squared her shoulders and pushed the door open.Immediately, the room fell silent. The board members, already seated, shifted uncomfortably, their eyes turning to her as if they could already sense the storm brewing. Her stepmother, Elenora, was sitting at the far end of the table, her steely gaze fixed on Jenna as though she were an obstacle to be eliminated.Jenna straightened her back, refusing to acknowledge the tight knot of fear in her gut. This was her company,
The journey back to the Night Villa was quiet, but Chase’s mind was a storm of thoughts. The file in the passenger seat beside him burned like a live wire — too hot, too dangerous to ignore. He’d seen a lot working under his best friend Alpha Ryker, but what he just learned about George Spears’ “shareholder meeting” left a foul taste in his mouth. This wasn’t just about business. It was a coup. A quiet one. Padded in legal fluff and family betrayal. And Jenna was at the heart of it.By the time he reached the villa, night had settled thickly over the woods. The front gates opened automatically, the guards giving him a nod of recognition as he pulled into the paved driveway. The moment he stepped out of the car, Mrs Anderson was already waiting.“He’s in his office,” the old lady said. “And he’s not in the mood for stalling.”“Neither am I,” Chase replied, grabbing the file and moving toward the entrance.Inside, the villa was quiet. Too quiet. The air felt charged as if even the walls
The moonlight spilled like liquid silver across the marble floor as Coty stood in front of the tall mirror in her bedroom. She wore a robe the color of cream, tied delicately at the waist, her skin glowing under the soft vanity lights. The fading bruise on her cheek had been carefully maintained for effect — darkened slightly with makeup, smudged just enough to look real. A little dramatic, but that’s what sold her lies. She practiced her expressions. Wide, innocent eyes. A soft, wounded smile. A single, practiced tear just to gain pity.“I didn’t want to tell him… but Jenna left me no choice.”She tilted her head, studying the angle. It was almost art, the way she could wear fragility like armor. No one suspected the girl who looked like she could break at the touch of wind.A knock came at her door. Soft. Familiar.“Come in,” Coty called, voice already slipping into silk. Her mother stepped inside, closing the door gently behind her. Elenora Spears — second wife of George, stepmothe
Her stomach churned in anxiety watching as her phone buzzed at the edge of the bed like it was possessed. Jenna stared at the screen. “Father,” no first name, no “Dad.” Just the title that weighed like iron in her heart. Her hands shook nervously as she exhaled and answered.“You’re a disgrace.” no greeting, no hesitation, just venom.“Didn’t expect you to pick up,” he added coldly.Jenna’s hand clenched around the phone. “Hi, Dad.”“Don’t get smart with me,” he snapped. “Do you think I wouldn’t hear about what you did to Coty?”The sound of her stepsister’s name made her stomach knot. Jenna braced herself. “What exactly did I do?”“She came home bruised and crying, Jenna. She said you made Alpha Ryker beat her up in public. And now I’ve got elders whispering about disunity, doubting the future of my bloodline.”“Just because the Alpha has your back doesn’t mean you can put me in a more difficult situation!” He scowled in rage.A bitter laugh escaped her lips. “Oh, you mean she put yo
