“Baby, I am outside the hospital.”

Andres said into the phone hours later. The day went by pretty fast and now, it was time to go home.

“Give me five minutes.”

I told him before I ended the call.

“Elisa! I have to leave now. My mate is already here to pick me up.”

I told the assistant who has been working with me all day.

“Okay, you can leave and I will wrap things up here.”

She called out from her workstation. I quickly typed a few things into my computer and logged out of the website.

“See you tomorrow!”

I told her as I made my way out of the laboratory where I spent the whole day.

I didn’t need to attend to any patient because I had to focus on finishing the project now that it will be my name all over it.
