“Does that mean she will never leave?”

She has asked the same question a lot of times already. Kids and repetitiveness. I smiled, let go of her dad and went to her.

“Darling, we talked about it already. You already know my answer.”

I reminded her and she nodded excitedly before leaning in for a hug. I patted her back softly before pulling away to smile at her again.

“Have you had breakfast?”

She nodded. I turned to her dad and he nodded too.

“Are you going to the office today?”

I asked Andres. He didn’t sleep last night. He needs to take a break and rest or he might fall sick and I don’t want him to be sick.

“No, I am spending the day with her. You said you had to stop by the clinic.”

I nodded. I will but I don’t have to go so early.

“When will you sleep?”

I asked him. He laughed.

“Don’t worry about me, Danielle. I will take care of myself. I haven’t been able to spend a whole day with Joan in a while. I took the day off for her.”
