“Do you need anything, princess?”

I asked her. She smiled and walked to me.

“No, I just wanted to come to you. Daddy is on the phone and it’s boring.”

I laughed and opened my arms for her. I wrapped my arms around her tiny body when she sat on my lap.

“Can I ask you something?”

She asked me and I nodded.

“Daddy doesn’t want me to talk about it yet but I really want to know.”

I smiled and fixed her hair.

“You can ask me.”

I assured her.

“Can I call you mommy? I really want a mommy. I love you as my auntie but I also want you to be my mommy. Can I call you mommy?”

I smiled and hugged her closer to me. She asked me before already but this time felt different. This time, I knew if I say no, it will hurt her heart and the last thing I want to do is hurt her.
