Life isn't fair. It has never been fair to me since the day I was born. It's never given me what I wanted.

I could still hear Jaspers scream in my head. Seeing him struggle to breathe, with blood coming out of his mouth and nose was terrifying.

I could do nothing when he ingested the thornleaf. I watched in horror as he breathed his last. My cry echoed through the Sanctum. I wanted to take his place or better still die with him. But one of us needs to take the moonstone back home. The pack community was waiting for us to return on the third day.
