Today at the office, I spent half the day looking for a chance to talk to Claire. I passed by her lab several times, lingered in the hallway a bit too long, even pretending I had business near the research wing. And every damn time, she walked right past me like I was invisible.

Claire didn't even spare me a glance. Didn't offer a single smile. Not even a polite nod.
