Scarlett's POV

I went back to my room with a heavy heart as it bled with pain.

I sat at the foot of the bed and I couldn't help but wept bitterly at how my life had turned out.

I have always dreamt of living a peaceful life with my mate while I was growing up but I never knew life had different things planned out for me.

Everyone mocked me because I don't have a wolf and when I thought that I was finally going to be happy when the goddess blessed me with my mate then, I got pregnant.

"What a pathetic life I have," I muttered to myself.

I wiped the tears off my face with the back of my hand as I paced towards the window.

I looked at my wrist that was scratched from the way Alpha Carlos gripped me angrily.

I gazed outside the window and I realized that the night was still young.

"Is my life going to be like this now? I don't have friends to talk to, no phone to call my father and I'm not even allowed to go out. What sort of life is this? Why am I so unlucky?" I asked with fresh
