Felix's POV

I couldn't believe that Ella could still come looking for me in the castle after what I did to her.

Ella was my childhood friend. The daughter of my father's best friend and a princess.

She's beautiful, quiet, and kind just like Scarlett.

We were so close that our parents started calling us a couple. I never took their words to heart because I was not romantically attracted to her. I took her like the sister I never had. She was the only woman that I allowed to get close to me because everyone knew that I hated it when a woman came close to me.

She mistook our closeness as love.

She thought that I was in love with her because of the way I treated her nicely and allowed her to get close to me.

She confessed her love for me on the day of her birthday but I rejected her after telling her that she was just like a sister to me and she shouldn't start getting funny ideas in her head.
